I hope she gets good news soon. you have been a good mom for her as its obvious you have her interests in mind👍. I believe committee meets wednesdays. so if they didn't make a decision last wednesday (and maybe have good news in the mail or maybe not so good waitlist news waiting to be sent as an e-mail), they prolly will be making one in a couple of days. :xf: Goodluck. I highly doubt she will be outright rejected unless something went quite wrong during the interview. Possible news are: accept, waitlist, reject.

cocosmommy, if your daughter is as diligent and disciplined as you seem to be, I am positive she will be receiving great news this week! All the best and have a happy bday celebration regardless!

I interviewed with your daughter. I don't doubt her odds at all! Tell her to check her mail today or tomorrow. I got a letter today 🙂 Best of luck!:luck:

CONGRATS that is wonderful! I know it has been a long hard road for all of you. My daughter thought maybe you were the one that had the student interview with her? I hope she gets a letter tomorrow. Thank you for your kind words.😀

Has anyone (*ahem* lurkers) been complete for a really long time and not heard anything from meharry? Have you sent them any kind of updates/LOI/question on your status? I think these threads are more helpful when the "downs" are posted as well as the "ups".

I'll be there also! This will be interview #7 for me. One of my really good friends just got accepted to Meharry last week and I have another friend who is a first year. Really excited to see what Meharry has to offer👍

I've been complete since October. I'm hoping that I will be invited to interview some time in January. Currently, working on a Letter of Interest. I'll let you know if it helped at all.

Well I will see you there! 7 interviews is alot good for you!!, this is number 2 for me! I know two students who are first years, through a summer program I did. But thats about it!

I've been complete since 10/25. I was planning on giving them a full 6 weeks to review before I send a LOI. IDK...This is starting to stress me out...

Yea, I filled out the app for royal towers and mailed it in. I am trying to see if I can locate pictures of the rooms online to see what it looks like inside. If anyone has a link, PM me

She tried To FB you but couldn't find you, you can pm me and I can give you her name? Monday will be 3 weeks and still nothing, sigh! She will be calling Monday bright an early. If it was a rejection why would they force you to be humiliated any further by calling to find out? This whole process is SOOOOOO RANDOM!!!!!!!🙁
 
Peace everybody hope you are well. I have heard a few people say that they have submitted a photo, I am submitting my secondary application now and do not see a request for a photo, where is it located? Or perhaps they were making reference to something else. Thank you.

No photo with secondary. It gets taken during your interview
 
Hello all! My application is on hold for Meharry. Does anyone know how that works? Are my chances still good or should I move on? Am I just waiting for people to drop their acceptance. Any new you all have please let me know! Thanks!
 
I am OOS, I have been complete since end of August and I havent heard anything from them even though it says in the email that we should hear something within 8 weeks. So I called and spoke to someone who directed my question to the director and I am waiting for a response from him.

Anyone went through that problem? I dont know if that means I am rejected or not.

Likewise, I'm OOS, complete in September, and haven't heard anything so far. Is there any cause for alarm (I mean, in addition to my current state of alarm, of course), or should I just be patient?
 
Im OOS complete in early October and haven't heard of anything either. I called the admissions office and was told to email Deborah Davis (the Admissions Manager) and let her know that it has been over 8 weeks...I just did that so will let yall know if I get a response

I have been absent from this blog from a while. I was really excited at first! Now I'm just anxious and stressed. I really just want to get selected to the postbac program they have. Anybody else been accepted to that or heard mention at the interview? I haven't heard any word of interview yet, been complete for a little minute now. I think a few weeks. Then again, I've heard of people getting accepted a few days before class starts. *sigh* Just trying to keep my head up!

Hey, Keep your head up!!! I interviewed on Monday and Director Mosley said that the official class of 2015 is 105 students however, 25 spots is already set aside for their post-bac students so it is really 80 spots available. That's all i heard of the post bac program. Getting into it as a backup is not a bad idea because it seems like all the post-bac students have to do is fulfil a minimum requirement set by the program and they automatically get moved into the SOM class afterwards.

However, don't count yourself out of an interview just yet, Director Mosley said they will be interviewing close to 500 students and i doubt they have interviewed even half of that number.......be patient!

Did you guys hear anything yet? I am also OOS and completed th file and received the 2ndary notification on Nov 9th...i guess its early to expect anything but wanted to know if anyone else is on the same boat as me....🙁

Any tips on writing the LOI? and do you mail it to admission office or do it via email?

Hello all I was on these boards last year when I was applying to meharry. I was just in your shoes and by the grace of GOD made it in so don't stress out. I had a late interview (in March) and was wait listed for about a week before gaining a spot. Currently up for our last final but any questions you guys have I'm willing to answer.

Remember don't fret we had about 4-5 people get their acceptance letter the day before maps started so keep hoping!!

They usually pick most of the post bacs after selecting the students for the School of Medicine. Meharry will be interviewing all the way into late spring so it'll take awhile for some people to get their letters. As far as interview letters are concerned i finished mine app in the fall and interviewed early March
