I thought it might be a good idea to have a seperate forum for which programs we are applying to this year. I know I have had questions of several of questions about different programs' applications and thought that program specific questions might continue to arise through the interview and acceptance phases as well.

Any thoughts about creating one long list of programs, like in previous years, or individual posts? Good luck to everyone :luck:

Not a bad idea! Why not add PsyD programs as well?

Hey, if anyone is applying to UMBC, University of Florida, Northwestern Feinberg, or University of Pittsburgh... I interviewed at those schools last year, so I'd be happy to give insight if you want to PM me :)

I remember how terrifying this point was last year, but never fear... a year from now you'll be in a program, pleasantly overwhelmed with your first year stats class reminiscing about how stressed you were a year ago :)

Is no one applying to LIU Ph.d Program? I remember last year there was a significant number of people on this forum applying to both their psy.d and ph.d. Anyone?

I'm applying to their Ph.D. program only.

I actually would have applied to both, but I was strongly discouraged from doing so. Their Psy.D. is supposed to be really great too, I wish I would have known I didn't have to choose!

I'm applying to the following:

Clinical Ph.D.
Harvard
Yale
Michigan
UPenn
University of Wisconsin-Madison
UCLA
UC Berkeley
University of Virginia
Columbia University - Teachers College
Duke

Good luck to everyone!

I'm broke as well (about to become broke-er...). 18 Clincal PhD's:

UC-Santa Barbara (combined program)
Alabama Birmingham
Southern Miss
Mizzou
UConn
University of Miami
Michigan State
Pitt
Eastern Michigan
Alabama-Tuscaloosa
Auburn
Virginia Tech
Notre Dame
Binghamton
UPenn
University of Washington
Rochester
BYU

Of those, I'd say my top choices are UCSB (advisors went there) and Virginia Tech (had a phone convo with one of the profs I'm applying to... woo!). I'm thinking about just scrapping UPenn altogether because their mean GRE scores are ridiculous (like, 1500-ish... I got a 1280). Washington is probably a reach too. The others... well, I don't know. We'll see.

This was quite a stressful period. I am somewhat happy that all apps are submitted although now its time to wait and see what the outcome will be.

Good luck everyone!:)

If anyone took the GRE Subject on November 13th, my scores were available over the phone yesterday (for a fee of course...) and yours may be as well.

My apps are now all finished since the GRE Subject was just sent out by ETS yesterday...

I am so relieved that all 9 of my apps are out!! Now it is all about the waiting....

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :)

Best of luck, everyone!

I was in your position last year, so I know how hard the waiting game can be. Take this time to relax and get your mind off of apps because once interviews start up, you're going to wish you had time to breathe!

Hi,
I felt like I needed to vent a little. I've applied to 9 schools and I have 4 left to apply to. I wanted to be done this process by Christmas but I got horribly sick and am having surgery tomorrow. My next app isn't due until Jan 8 which is good but I really wanted to be done this process and into the whole waiting game.

Yikes! Good luck with the surgery tomorrow. I hope all goes well, both with the surgery and your applications. I'll keep you in my prayers tonight.
