2010-2011 PhD/PsyD Interview Invite thread

Hi! This is a bit late, but I just thought I'd add my interviews in on here. I was contacted on 12/7 for an interview at Florida State, 1/7 for an interview at Penn State, and 1/12 for an interview at University of Central Florida.

Congratulations to those who have gotten interviews so far, and good luck to all!
 
Got an invite today via email from the Graduate Program Assistant at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (clinical PhD). Interview date is February 11th.

No sure if anyone applied to Vanderbilt or not, but they already informed prospective students of invites, and the interview weekend is January 28th-29th. Sadly, I did not get one 🙁
 
For anyone out there waiting for Harvard or Yale invites, here's the info I have from their respective graduate department secretaries:

Harvard: Phone calls will be made by the POI anytime between now and mid-february (I know, very helpful). Only a phone interview.

Yale: Phone calls will be made by the POI between late January and early February. Only a phone-interview.

Wow, I'm sad about this too. I haven't heard a thing about it before now. More info on the source of this news would be great!
 
I called Vanderbilt today to see when interviews were, and when I realized how soon they were, I asked if invites were given already, and they said yes. Now I don't know who exactly I talked to, but that's what he said.

Drexel has most definitely started inviting people. From private messages on here and from one of my co-workers, I know three people who have invites. They all came on different days, though, so that's promising.

I have never posted before but have been reading like thread like a madwoman. I just wanted to confirm what the previous poster said about Vanderbilt. I talked to my POI about a week or two ago and just got an official invite yesterday for an interview Jan 28th. Sorry to those who didn't get invites :lame: I am still quite shocked they called me!

I applied here too and I'd love to know POI if anyone who received child track invite to Univ. of Miami is willing to share. Thanks and congrats!

There were a lot of Drexel invites PMed to me.

People may not be willing to identify themselves which is why you may not have received responses, but that doesn't mean no one has heard. Some people want to remain anonymous.

I hope you hear something from Drexel soon! If not, you are not alone. Although I have received 2 invites, 2 of the schools I applied to are also listed as people having received invites while I haven't heard a thing. Good luck to you in this process :xf:

edit: read this post wrong lol... but still: people should be told as soon as they are out of the running. it's just the ethical thing to do... *sigh*

Is anyone checking their admission status on the Discover Drexel website to see if they got admitted or not?
 
Congratulations to everyone who has heard back! =] That's so exciting. Only one of my schools is on the list so far, and it was not my best match. This gives me some hope still. Oh my lanta, fingers crossed!!
 
FYI, LSU was just added on gradcafe.

Only one of my 11 schools have been posted.... I am so jealous of everyone getting multiple invites! Can't wait for this waiting game to be over :scared:
 
Someone on Grad Cafe just posted that they got a phone call from LSU today. I'm freaking.:bang:
Anyone else hear from them?
Last year's thread says LSU's reach out was several times via phone by the POI or POI's students. If anyone else hears anything, will you PM me? Thanks.
 
Just FYI, I called to see when interview dates would be, and if all invites had been extended. They said the dates would be in the first two weeks of Feb (depending on the track), and that they would be making calls through the end of next week. She said a few faculty members hadn't submitted their lists of who they wanted to invite yet. A small glimmer of hope, perhaps😕

Did anyone who applied to the Psychopathology and Treatment track receive an invite yet? That'd pretty much tell me all I need to know!

I just called Vandy and the department secretary said they are still reviewing applications (they have until the 17th to send the list of names to the Dean, and will start contacting people the week of Jan 24), and interviews for clinical psychology interviews are in Feb
 
If you wouldn't mind telling me who your POI is in a message I would greatly appreciate it. I have been anticipating this one. Congrats and good luck with the interview!

Based on last years invites, I wouldn't expect Alabama or Pitt to send out their invites until next week at the earliest-maybe not even until the week after. 🙁

Yeah, that is really weird that someone posted something about LSU. When the graduate secretary emailed me, she said they wouldn't start reviewing applications until the Jan. 15th deadline??

I know. I got the same email. Did your email also say that you might want to check with the graduate office to confirm they had all your transcripts? One of mine didn't get there until this week, so I'm thinking that maybe, if I'm called at all it might be later b/c of that hold up.

Thanks for posting that info! I've been holding my breath on this one, too. I also applied to that track, and have not heard anything yet. Good luck!! 🙂
 
No, mine didn't say that about the transcripts, I sent my transcripts myself about a month ago..so, I'm assuming they got them. Very strange..Well,good luck!!
