Finally heard from a school! I couldn't be more excited 🙂 University of Alabama @ Tuscaloosa - I got an email asking to set up a phone interview this weekend.

Edited to add I applied for the Child Clinical program.

ETA: Well I am not to be trusted apparently! Alabama prob did that just to mess with me. 🙂
 
Could whoever has gotten interviews at UMiami's Child Clinical track message me the name of your POI?

I was just invited to Loyola Maryland's PsyD program interview day (which, as has been mentioned here before, is on Feb. 18). I'm super excited!

The invitation was extended via email from the director of program operations.

What program did you apply to? Because another poster said they haven't contacted everyone yet and interviews are in Feb, but the dept told me differently. Hmmm...

For the person that did hear interviews were in February, did they say when?

Just received an invite to interview for LIU's clinical ph.d. The interview is Feb 5th. That makes for a happy weekend. 🙂

How's A&M doing? Have they finished sending out invites yet? I just saw one here. Pretty nervous about this one.:help:

I was emailed (but only because they had the wrong phone number for me). I don't know if they are done extending invites, but on last year's thread it looks like people heard at very different times, so it seems likely that more will go out. Good luck to everyone!

Thanks. This is turning into a long and frustrating day. I think I'm going to turn off my computer and focus on ANYTHING else but interviews until Tuesday. Out of 17 schools I'm down to: 1 interview, 1 maybe interview, 3 probably no hope, 2 almost no hope, leaving 10 with no word yet.

This whole experience is giving me acne, which is bad news because I have a DATE TONIGHT!

😕 Anyone here who applied to GWU, Psy.D. or UMCP, Ph.D. in Counseling Psych and got invites??

I am so frustrated because I have not gotten a single interview. This is my first year applying to doc programs and I only applied to six - was I overconfident?

Oh, what I start into the weekend, guys & gals. Am I the only on e here who is that frustrated?? 👎
 
Alright. It was me who posted the Boulder invite (maybe someone else, too?). My first invite 🙂 I've been responding to people who asked me to, but sooo many people are asking (more than 10!), and not everyone was courteous in return, so I'm not sending out those PMs anymore.

I heard they are still working on sending out invites. Don't fret. 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that people are not being courteous to you.

Everyone, if we want to be clinical psychologists someday, then we need to remember that every person deserves dignity and respect. Don't let this dog-eat-dog application process make you forget that.

It's my second time applying; I'm not just frustrated, I'm such a mix of emotions. I find the waiting to be the hardest part. 😕

I agree. Jexa was kind to respond to those of us who asked (I was one of those who did), and we should be happy he/she got an invite. This is such a stressful process; we should really be supporting each other!

I agree with you in regards to the mix of emotions. I go through that too - and did not expect getting so emotional about this process; well, I really want this education...but I am close to calling it for this round and year; I already plan for the next round of application and certainly gained a lot of experience this time; hope I benefit from it.:idea:

Phipps, thanks for the well wishes! I don't think you should assume anything just quite yet; my understanding is that Loyola reviews applications on a rolling basis, and I sent my application in pretty far in advance of the deadline, so that may have something to do with it. Good luck!
 
My date was terrible... all I could think about was these interviews. Let's blame the guy though. If he was more interesting, my mind wouldn't have wandered.

Hi all,

I finally caved and joined! I am really desperate to know whether or not my POI has extended interviews from UPenn. I know that their interviews are 1/28 and 2/7 but I am semi-refusing to give up hope :-/ Could whoever received a UPenn interview please PM me their POI?

In return, I can give info about my interviews at Stonybrook, SMU, and WashU. Also, I work as an RA at a program that has been mentioned several times on this forum and I can give you lots of insight on our interviews too 🙂 Anyone who has heard from Penn State and UVM too would be much appreciated.

I want to be as fair as possible and will do anything I can to help in exchange for your insight!

I think 3 separate sets of invites from GMU warrants a rejection.. but I would still be very thankful if those who have received interviews could PM me your POI.. or I could send mine? thanks 🙂
 
Can anyone tell me their POIS for Kent State. It would be very much appreciated.
 
Quick Question: Do I have anything to lose by contacting Kent State on Monday and asking if all invitations have been extended?

Also, is it rude/annoying for me to contact secretary at U of Cincinnati (my top choice) and ask when invites might be extended.

I would not contact a school to ask that. I do think that it would be annoying.

See this is why I think it's a bad idea to contact schools... not because it annoys them (I just didn't give them my name, hehehe), but because I think they are getting frustrated and mixing up their information. Case and point with Vanderbilt, and now Temple... I called them today and they told me they did not know when invites were being passed out, but interviews were sometime 2/15 to 2/21. Blah! I'm so over this process.

I second this, could the people with interviews PM me their POIs? I called GMU yesterday and they told me they had sent out the vast majority of their invites at this point, which sucks, esp. because I met my POI in person at ABCT last year!

They're not!! I called the admissions office yesterday to ask (LIU Brooklyn) and they said they're not even close to finished reviewing. So let's not worry! 🙂
 
Can the person with the IUPUI interview please pm me also with the POI and who sent the invite- as in the DCT or POI?
