I uploaded an update letter through Temple's online application system. Did anyone receive an email to confirm that the letter was received? thanks.
I uploaded a letter a few months ago. It appeared under my "Materials" tab and then later disappeared? I assumed that it meant they downloaded and read it, but I never received any email confirmation.
i interviewed on 11/16 at st. lukes and haven't heard anything back yet either.. 😕 let me know what they say if you end up calling!
I didn't end up calling yesterday because I spoke to a few friends who have been accepted this time around, and years before, and they all said they waited at least 6 weeks before they heard that they were accepted.
Also, I am banking on the whole acceptance extravaganza that happened the day before Thanksgiving (Geekchick has given me hope...thanks!) so let's just hope we hear tomorrow!
i interviewed ~3 weeks ago, and i just checked my status online and it said "correspondence sent" but i haven't received an email. does that mean a rejection? 🙁
edit: blah, just read through the last page and saw it's probably reject or waitlist. bummer.

Interviewed 12/3, accepted 12/23
Quick turnaround. I really liked the facilities but not so much the curriculum. I'm still on the fence about sending in a deposit.
Im IS btw.

It will be an honor to possibly attend medical school alongside such a great American.

Wow! You must have rocked your interview. Congrats!! 👍
You have to send in a deposit to hold your place, but it is refundable if you withdraw before May 15th.
Do you have to send in the deposit to hold a place in the class or just if you know Temple is where you will attend?
Hey peeps I need to book a return flight and I was wondering what departure would work if I had afternoon interviews (they at 2)?
I was planning on taking public transportation from Temple to the airport....how long does this take and what time does the interview day end? Would a 5pm departure be ok or maybe 6?
And anyone have a good hotel recommendation? Preferably one with easy access from the airport, and to Temple.
Thanks in advance.

I didn't think I interviewed very well but I interviewed with one of the old deans and I think he may have had all the paperwork done quickly before break

What don't you like about the curriculum?
Congrats anyway 👍
It's been WAY too quiet in this thread lately. Hopefully some people will be getting good news this afternoon! 🙂
Anyone else get a background check email today?

Not sure if this is too late,
I stayed at the Conwell in on the Temple main campus, as short $2 subway ride to the med school and a $6.25 30 minute regional train ride (it leaves every 20-30 min) to and from the airport. My flight was out at 6:00 and I was done with the interview day about 3:00 (student interview at 2:00). I had time to spare. It took about an hour to get from the school to the airport with walking, waiting for the train, etc.
If you have anyother ?'s you can PM me if you like.
Good luck!
is there anyone who interviewed the first week of december or earlier who hasn't heard back yet?
Anyone get invites here recently? been waiting for that invite since 8/11/10...
Been waiting since july I believe. I heard temple is a silent reject school, so that might be what's happening here./
Anybody know if interviews are about booked up?

Congrats, you two!
Yeah, congrats guys.
My app has complete and "under review" since 9/17, and I'm really itching to hear something from them.
I sent an update letter to them in December, and an "in the area" email this past Friday. I'm not sure whether the email nudged them to grant me an interview (since ttn87 also got an invite on the same day that I did), but it certainly didn't hurt.
Keep reminding them that you're still interested! Good luck.

I also sent an in-the-area e-mail about two weeks ago. Looks like it may have helped both of us!

I had the same issue. I requested for the password reset, and was then able to log in after resetting the password. Odd.

Same here.
Nice to see we're all still neurotically checking our statuses.
Hey guys and gals, im interviewing at st. lukes on the 1st of feb. anyone have any advice in terms of the interviewing, questions to ask, hotels & transportation? Also when I called to schedule my interview the lady seemed suprised that I had also been invited to tour the actual Temple campus, this isn't rare right? Is there a train or bus that can take me from St. luke to Philadelphia? So excited, my first interview!
I have an interview tomorrow morning and I'm coming into philly on the amtrak to the 30th st station. I've never had to get around philly so is there any easy alternative to a taxi that'll take ~30 min to get there? thanks for the help!
From 30th St Station you can walk across the street to the subway stop, take the Blue Line eastbound to City Hall, and then take the Orange Line northbound to Allegheny or Erie. From there it's a block or so walk to the admissions office. Check out the google maps description here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=30th+St+Station&daddr=3500+North+Broad+Street,+Philadelphia,+PA+19140+(Temple+University+School-Medicine)&geocode=FVKpYQIdYMuE-ylFe10uScbGiTFp47I3XuBVfg%3BFZ9yYgIdo0SF-yGLSIBsLDtyGw&hl=en&mra=pd&mrcr=0&dirflg=r&ttype=dep&date=01%2F18%2F11&time=12:23pm&noexp=0&noal=0&sort=def&sll=39.980536,-75.167859&sspn=0.094181,0.264187&ie=UTF8&ll=39.980146,-75.167427&spn=0.094182,0.264187&z=13&start=1

Thanks! I didn't even think of google maps 🙂
interviewed last week....the med school building IS gorgeous, and pretty happy crowd over all it seemed.
my faculty interviewer was all-business the second we sat down. and he asked me some awkward questions, including healthcare reform, and how many other interviews I've had, where I've been accepted and what their tuition was. I'm not sure what he was aiming at there, but it made me feel a little weird.
luckily when i got to describing my research, he seemed super interested in it though...so that's good news!
