The LORs take foreverrrrr to show up. From when my primary was received, I think it took at least an extra 2 weeks for the letters to show up. I understand your frustration, I'm still taking classes at A&M right now lol

Heh, that sucks! Man, if you're there I'd just go hand deliver everything. Are you going to any of the interview workshops? (Or did they already happen?)

I thought about delivering things myself but I submitted stuff early so I decided I'd just wait and see if things got there. There are still 2 more interview workshops. I went to one at the end of July. The list of questions they gave us was really helpful

I have an interview next thursday in collegestation; has anyone here already interviewed with A&M? Any advise?
Do they do one-on-one interviews or are there several interviewers in the room?

When were your apps transmitted, mazda? Thanks!

I can't remember exact dates, but I think they were transmitted around July 20th (plus or minus a couple days).
My primary application began processing ~June 14th.
I completed my secondaries a couple days after I submitted my primary.
Hope that helps

got a call this morning for an interview on thursday (apparently someone had to reschedule) but had to decline because I couldnt be there, oh well it still means Ill get to interview here!

Secondary completed 6/16. Transmitted 7/16. Still haven't heard anything back. They don't send out emails saying you're complete, right? Congrats to yall btw!

Hmmmmm... this BAMF thing is weird. I already paid and submitted the secondary. It has my secondary as being received but no payment. Also, nothing is listed for LOR which is REALLY weird b/c they should have that.

I just graduated from A&M for crying out loud. Can't someone just walk across the street and grab my committee letter? 😉

Same here, I figured the LORs will be that way, but has the payment updated for you yet?

No, the first email i received was the invite. But you could always call their admissions office and make sure they got all your stuff. I did that for a couple of the schools that i applied to.

Have no idea when my status changed, but I'm finally "Under Review." Hoping for an invite :luck:

Well that's weird.. I just checked and now I have everything BUT the LORs
Hmm.. oh well, I guess they should be updating pretty soon..
I wonder how many applicants A&M gets..anyone know?

According to MSAR, for 2008-2009 they had 2605 in-state applicants and 420 OOS =)

This school is taking FOREVEER.

When does TMDSAS say that your application was transmitted? Mine was transmitted 7/7 and all I can see is that they have received my secondary and the app fee.

I was transmitted 1 day before you on 7/6. I slacked off on the secondary a bit, and submitted on 7/24. Still it has been 3 weeks and my status is the same as you.

Man - I guess they are they taking a while to process stuff. According to the status page, they say it can take 4-6 weeks from the time of transmission until they can get stuff processed. Next Thursday, if I don't see any changes, I guess I'll have to call and see what's up. 😕

I interviewed here today and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and the interviews were very relaxed

hey everyone,

I'm a current M1 here at TAMHSC. I was studying in the LRU when some of you were going to your interviews, and it's amazing looking back how it's already been a whole year despite the application process being so dreadfully long. I just wanted to stop by and if you guys have any questions about TAMHSC just leave a message here and I'll try to come back to this thread. Good luck!

I was there interviewing yesterday. Everyone was so jovial and Filo was great lol! Oh, I have a question, which of the 4 tracks are you on? 4 CS, 4 T, 2+2s ?

Yeah, I really like the faculty and students here at A&M, and everyone's really nice and helpful. I'm in the CS/Temple 2+2 track, and I feel like for the first two years, it's really helpful to be on the College Station campus as most of the basic science faculty are here, and I can only imagine clinical rotations would be great at Scott & White.

So I'm assuming you got to choose which track you wanted to be on, right? Or do they decide for you?

Around Feb/March after the match, you will have to fill out a form designating your track preferences and your reasons. If you have a really good reason for a particular location (like spouse has a job at a particular location), then you will pretty much be guaranteed your first choice. I didn't really write that much for my reasoning, and I just said I wanted to be close to basic science faculty for the first two years, but was interested in specializing in the future, so the opportunities in temple would better suit me, and I ended up getting my first choice of 2+2 CS/Temple. However, I know some people in our class that didn't get their first choice, but there are waiting lists, and most people ended up getting their first or second choice. Also, if you get accepted after the match (i.e. off the waitlist), I believe the school will tell you which tracks are available, and you get to pick from the ones that aren't full.

Just got an interview invite for 8/19, but had to take 9/2 instead. How do we know which campus we're interviewing at?

Congrats on the interview! Out of curiosity, do you mind sharing when your primary was transmitted from TMDSAS?

Oops! How thoughtless of me, I should've mentioned it: 7/14/10.

I don't know if anyone else is in a similar situation but my app was transmitted on 7/7 but I still haven't seen any BAMF updates except for secondary application and secondary fee. I called today and was told my application should be coming up for review within the next two weeks and that apparently all my stuff has been received even though the BAMF system does not suggest this. Anyway, I guess they are just taking a while so if you haven't heard anything, I guess you just need to hang in there... even though it sucks to wait!

are there any out-of-staters that have gotten an interview yet? I turned everything in pretty early and I haven't heard anything and I'm starting to get a little nervous seeing all these other people who have already interviewed😕

I had forgotten to mention in my previous post that I am OOS - maybe they organize app's by residency (IS vs OOS) right off the bat which would explain why we turned stuff in early but have yet to hear anything. Does anyone know whether this is true?

Im IS, but I am also on about the same timeline as you are.

Just got my interview invite!!!!!! I need to change the date though. Does anyone know if changing the date will change the campus you interview at? Mine right now is at the Temple campus.

and in case you were interested:
my primary was transmitted on 7/16
secondary was sent in around 7/20
my status on BAMF changed to under review 2-3 weeks ago

Anyone else interviewing at temple on 9/2?

Where are you guys staying at?

Interview invite earlier today, for 9-9 in temple. Might just drive up from austin that morning... we'll see. Very excited though!

My interview is september 23rd in temple and I was planning on driving up to Temple from Austin too. You should let me know how that drive goes...and how long it takes you and stuff because I really don't want to be late and you never know with austin traffic....although I would think there would be less heading OUT of austin!

so theres no one else on student doctor thats going to be interviewing with me at Temple on 9/2?

A month and a half, and still pending. I think I might have messed up by referencing one of the secondary questions to my personal statement. I had already talked about one of the questions in my PS, and it just seemed redundant to rewrite that specific experience.

I'm sure that's not it. I interviewed already and for one of my secondary questions I wrote: "I already answered this question in response to the following question from the TMDSAS primary." I wrote down the prompt from the primary and that's all.

I know how it feels to be stuck on that pending status. I had my primary submitted 7/7, secondary and fee were cleared online at 6/6 but I'm still twiddling my thumbs waiting to hear from them. I'm OOS but have significant ties to the state - specifically college station - and my numbers put me right in the middle / middle top of their class. I dunno what to say other than I feel your pain and let's hope we hear something soon!

Don't worry, I go to A&M and submitted my secondary on 7/1, and I'm still PENDING.

invite: 9/16!
however @ Temple location. Looking forward to Scott & White!

Interview is done...now we wait! Good luck to everyone who is waiting/interviewing/both!
