I interviewed in March and received the contact email on Friday. I called the office this week and they told me the committee has not made a decision on my application. I am not sure if that means I am now on the active consideration list or they just have not reviewed my application.

Tufts may have realized last year that sending out a "please update your contact info" 24 hrs before using contact info did not work very well. Perhaps they decided to send out this email well before hand this year.

Took me a day. Hopefully there are few stereotypically "pre-med" people in med school as they are too uptight and make me frown. 😛

I prefer to refer to myself as an "almost med student" now. 😛

it seems like from previous acceptance phone call cycles on this thread... that they went out from the thursday - sunday of the week calls were made. so hopefully some (good) news comes tonight and in the coming days. good luck to other march interviewers

Hey guys... I hate to be the one to spark the mass anxiety but Dr. Neumeyer just called with an acceptance. Keep those cell phones on. Good Luck everyone.

Wow, I'm really surprised no one else has heard anything?

Prayithappens, I went back and looked at those threads, but I didn't see anything about phone calls coming in on any other day but Thursday?
 
I think I saw on here people getting calls Friday as well (the February and March acceptance calls at least). Back in Nov, I know a friend who got a call on Saturday as well. It's worth hoping at least that more calls are coming? I am driving myself crazy w/ potentially false hope though. Good luck!

I carefully went thru this whole thread and compared the call dates to a calendar. People were definitely called on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, monday, and tuesday. Thursday thru Tuesday. Feel free to double check.
 
If I remember correctly, phone calls will probably last till next week. So sit tight guys.
 
Oh, I was only looking at the final round (the March interviewees). Good to know that other rounds heard back on other days. I will keep my fingers crossed. =)
 
lol ya Sygers; however if you don't hear anything soon now, it's either a deferral or rejection which I received the former.

ya they did. First email then letter. I think if you get that "update your contact info" email, I believe you'll be getting a deferral BUT I'm not sure if there is any true correlation between them.

Congrats KelMD and JCSIMMO!! Did you two not get the "update contact info" email last friday? so we can confirm what doctafuture is saying.

looking back at some posts, i'm pretty sure they both got that email too. i think everyone does.

relax... I said there may be a correlation, I don't really even remember. I ended up getting a letter in the mail eventually, that's why I mentioned it.

Everyone - regardless of acceptance, rejection, or waitlist - gets the "update contact email"
 
I just called Admissions. She confirmed that all March interviewees would know their status no later than 4/22. She also confirmed that phone calls will still be going out through next week, and that all phone calls have not been made.
 
got the call yesterday.... shocked because my interviewer was such a jerk and I literally almost cried during the interview.
 
Got the call today at around 11ish.

Just got a call from the Doc. It was like a dream. YEEEEE HHAAAAA!

Do you think the calls come in the order of the days the applicants were interviewed?
i.e: applicant X was interviewed on March 1st (the first March interview date) and we are accepting him so he will receive the first call
applicant Y was interviewed March 3rd so he will be contacted in the next set of calls etc.

I was interviewed March 3rd and we were told that we were one of the first batches in the march group thus wouldn't hear anything until April.

It is entirely possible they call in order. However, on second thought it doesn't make sense for them to do so since they make decisions at the same time?
Im curious to know when the other people that got accepted today/yesterday interviewed.
 
I interviewed March 22nd, and I got the call a few minutes before RebeccaBlack. I was thinking that maybe the calling times correlated as well, but I guess that blows that theory out of the water.

I think it's really strange that they don't call everyone on one day though. My conversation with the Dean lasted exactly 1 minute on my phone. I was too shell-shocked to say much of anything. It seems like he could call 100 people in several hours...

I agree....it is interesting why they spread the calls around over a period of a week.

Perhaps the Dean has other things to do rather than call people for 3 hours straight?
