how many people do you guys think get accepted per interview cycle?
it seemed like there were ~30 people there on the day of my interview and they have interviews 2x each week of each month (meaning about 240 ppl are interviewed each month) so if they accept 10% of the people they interview (which is just a random estimate) that would mean they only accept ~24 people per interview cycle and it seems like 5 or 6 people have already gotten their calls, not to mention the ppl who don't post on SDN...
idk I'm losing hope 🙁🙁
It doesn't seem like calls went out today. Perhaps Dr. Neumeyer is on a ski trip or something and won't be calling anyone until Monday this time? (ha) Keep hope alive. I was a frantic wreck thursday night too when acceptances started getting handed out. If it could happen to me, it can happen to you!
haha...I love how we create fictional storylines in an attempt to keep the hope alive. I honestly think this whole process slowly picks away at your sanity. 😱 In response to your post Study Pray...I always figured it was more like 30% acceptance. According to the Tufts website, they interviewed almost 1100 last year and have 200 in the class...so I am guessing that they had to accept nearly 300? Maybe that will lift your hopes...
Anyway, I am in the same boat as you. I interviewed 3/24.

I would imagine they would let in quite a few people considering the school is pretty expensive compared to an average med school. As people hear back from their state schools, they would be probably be more likely to attend due to lower COA.
Nothing left for us to do except hope and pray.
today is also patriot's day in boston, and the school is closed, so it may be unlikely that calls go out today (but who knows). good luck to everyone still waiting!

Agh, I love SDN speculation. We are all so guilty of this. 🙂 Personally, I got into one of my state schools but I really didn't like it, so unless Tufts gives me $0 in financial aid, I'd choose Tufts in a heartbeat. Now, if I get into Jeff I'm not quite sure yet which I would choose. Good luck on your decisions everyone! I'm sure the fact that you interviewed at Tufts means you should at the very least get in elsewhere.
I have NOT gotten in elsewhere lol. If accepted here, it will be my first, which would be ironic because it was always my first choice from the get go.

Kel, you just love MY speculation! haha...Unfortunately, I live in the golden (/debt ridden) state so my chances of getting into my state schools are minuscule. I haven't gotten in anywhere else so my first choice is any school that accepts me at this point.

In addition to the fact that today is a public holiday in Mass, it is also the day of the Boston Marathon so i seriously doubt calls went out this morning. Perhaps this evening and tomorrow.

Another cali resident here, no interviews at all for me. You're not alone. 10 interviews no acceptances come on tufts
I got deferred also. So what basically does that mean. Chances of getting in?

Hi All,
I was interviewed in Oct and deferred too. Its been silent since. I've heard of 0 rejections, so deferred means rejection (maybe waitlist). They called it active-consideration last year, but its the same thing. Its not really "deferred" since 0 people have heard since being DEFERRED. It means they're going to see who withdraws, then come back to the pile of earlier interviews in May/June/July. So in short, its a waitlist (that they can kick you off of).
Hang tight if you want to go here, but don't get your hopes up. They tend to over enroll in the beginning, so your chances are small, but not gone yet. I think a small handful of people got in last year May-July.
I'm cautiously hoping the same thing, let me know if you hear anything, I'll let you know too.
If you hear something phone call wise, I expect it to be in the evening.

There is a discussion panel at 430 and a reception at 6pm. Check your emails closely again for more detail on everything else. Or try emailing someone from the student council for the agenda.

Its casual. You can wear anything from a suit to a bathing suit. No-one will care. I suggest wearing what you feel most comfortable in.

Well I'm thinking to myself why would they mail a rejection when they can email it for free btw they said id get it on monday so another weekend of anxiety lol what else is new right?
