nothing here either, I'm assuming that any letters they mail will be put in the mail today (since yesterday was a holiday) so we may not see any mail til later this week, but hopefully some phone calls will be made soon! :xf:

Nothing here as well. I really thought some calls would have gone out by now, but hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer.

Do any of you who are deferred have a status on the secondary page? I do not..

Status is just "Application Complete." First Page upon opening the secondary website, in a very large font, is thanks for continued interest in TUSM and an instruction to keep contact info current.

Okay, you can contact us now.

I just got an email from Slavin asking if I wanted to be put on the waitlist.... more waiting to come! 😕😕😕

Yup, just got the same thing...sigh. Welp, not like we haven't gotten used to waiting already.

maybe we should start an official Tufts 2011 wait list thread to keep things neat and monitor movement🙂

I would make it except I don't know how to start threads.. still getting acclimated to SDN lol

seems that way, I was waitlisted also

I guess everyone except me. I didn't get the email. I guess I will be getting a rejection letter in the mail soon. Good luck to those who were waitlisted!

Did you check your spam folder? I would be surprised if they rejected at this point...

Yeah I checked everywhere... Its okay. I am reapplying anyway. I really hope many people get in from waitlist!!

there's something amusing about how the email letter is formatted in two fonts and sizes:

Dear Applicant

It is called mail merge (outlook and many other programs can do it), and whoever sent it failed their basic computer skills class. It means they are too lazy to send 400 individualized emails. This random email is the first thing I've heard since interviewing in October and deferral in November. It's like a bad joke. Tufts waitlist is HUGE, but some years it moves a good amount. Last year it barely moved.

Yeah that definitely is pretty tacky...Hopefully this year the waitlist will move a lot but I guess it's fairly impossible to determine the likeliness of coming off of it.

Just curious, has anybody received a hard copy of the waitlist notification in the mail yet?

Can any current student comment on their class schedule? When I logged into TUSK, I looked at the typical weekly academic schedule and have been noticing that a lot of days span from 830am or 9am until 3 or 4pm (with anatomy somehow put in there during 1st year). Then there's stuff like physical diagnosis/selectives (once a wk)/pbl/etc. in the later afternoon.

I know everything is recorded and you can double speed and everything, but is the remaining time in the day enough to be on top of your work? Am I just being naive or does it seem like the classes are really packed in there?

Just sent mine back today with my response

Weird, I live near Boston and have yet to receive my letter? I think I may call if it hasn't arrived by tomorrow. Also, looks like they may have the beginnings of some waitlist movement already based on a poll someone posted

Just got the call!
I was offered a waitlist position via email, received waitlist letter yesterday, got a call today.
Good luck everyone!!

Sent in my waitlist letter this morning, BUT just got a call from the Dean saying that I'm accepted!!!!

Good luck everyone!

Congrats to those who got accepted! Finally getting to see some movement!

Really hard decision, but I declined Tufts admission offer. I had to stay with in-state tuition. Good luck to whoever gets this seat! Tufts is a great school!

The schedule is typically lecture from other 8/9 til noon. The afternoon is small group stuff that is usually not required and in my opinion not too helpful, but many people found it helpful. Just depends on your learning style.

Anatomy lab is another thing that a lot of people simply did not attend. I hardly went and instead went in a few times the week before an exam on my own time and went through the checklists.

Pbl, interviewing, and physical diagnosis is only once a week - you see it 4 times per week because you are split into 4 smaller groups.

Overall, I thought the schedule was great and very easy to adapt to your likes. Second year schedule is better at tufts also since there are less required classes.

anyone else get the "we got your waitlist letter" confirmation email?

Hmm, I am still waiting to get the waitlist confirmation email...

This thread is quiet...too quiet.

Been a few weeks since the last (reported) movement and the e-mail said we'd see something mid-June through July, so here's hoping something will happen soon...

Any news recently or are we done for this application year?

I think it would be a bit premature to say that we're done with the application year, last year several people got in in July, and the e-mail said that the majority of their waitlist movement would happen between mid-June and the end of July (and we all know how timely the office has been this cycle)

If I get in off the Hopkins or Columbia wait lists one of you could have my spot.

Congrats to everyone going there this coming fall!!

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not Tufts has an MCAT cutoff- I have VR=8, which is worrying me and making me wondering if its worth even submitting the secondary... PS=12.BS=11.WR=Q.

Any feedback is appreciated- Thanks soon-to-be Drs.!

You will not be auto screened. I had that score.

At what point is it safe to assume there will be no more wait list movement? Haven't heard anything regarding Tufts in a while.

I don't think you can rule it out until classes start- you hear stories about acceptances one week before at many of these schools.

I spoke with the Dean a few days ago and he was saying that there hasn't been much wait list movement this year.
