is this complete email different from the one sent by "HelpDesk" that simply states: "The online form that you just completed has been successfully submitted
and time-stamped.

And how do they contact you regarding changes of status?

It is different. The one from Tulane I think has the subject line "completed application"..and it says something about your application being complete.
 
The complete email says...

Got an interview invite email today. In the body it says "Your interview appointment has been scheduled for DATE." I guess they forgot to include my interview date... Anybody else know when they're interviewing?

Having the same problem too-weird...theyll probably send us a follow up email soon!

I got the same email. I guess I'll see you when it is 'DATE'.

Complete: (I'm not sure I ever got an email on that).

Never received a complete email, so the interview was a surprise to me.

33R/3.76 cGPA/3.64 sGPA

AMCAS: submitted 6/23, verified 7/9
Secondary: submitted 7/15

Haha you can say that again. Try 6/30 submission and completion email one week ago.
 
I am also having a problem accessing the secondary application. Can someone please post the link?
 
Submitted secondary 6/30, no Complete email.

Interview invite 8/17, set for 9/20

OOS, 3.48sGPA/32MCAT
 
I've noticed at a few schools I've applied to getting a complete email almost means you've passed an initial review without them caring much about your app. For instance, it seems all the tulane iis so far never received complete emails. It is the same with ucf and fiu. All of the iis so far at those schools completely skipped a step in the process and went straight to interviews. It almost makes me sad to receive a completion email...
 
I tried to email admissions to ask about my application's status and haven't had in response in two tries. Should i call or just wait? How are you guys getting in touch with admissions?

when did you submit your secondary guitar? You can probably call them; however, to get a "complete" e-mail from Tulane takes awhile so I wouldn't worry about that.

Hey I emailed them at [email protected] and asked about my status with my AMCAS ID #, secondary submission date, letter uploaded to AMCAS date, etc. and received a complete email within two hours..Did you try that address? Maybe include as much info as possible?

I've been complete now for a few days and still no sec 🙁

When did you guys get your sec? I've got my essays all ready to go and everything!
 
Submitted MD/MPH secondary 8/2. I guess I'll have to wait a while before I hear back!
 
Does anyone know if they will let us know if we will NOT be receiving an interview? I could have missed a post, but I don't think I ever saw anyone say that they had been outright rejected at this stage.

If we indicate Early Decision and submit a secondary before 9/1, we are eligable correct? Or do we have to be "complete"?

I submitted 5 days ago, and by the looks of it, I won't receive a "complete email" by 9/1. If anyone knows for sure, please share.

For those of you invited for an interview, any opinions on staying with a med student? On the one hand, it'd be great to get to know some med students before the interview and get their take on the school. But I'm also thinking getting a good night's sleep in a nice hotel before the interview would be pretty important....any thoughts?
 
approximately how long does it take for them to review your file before they make a decision? i submitted my secondary several weeks ago and am getting a little anxious

You can probably surf through last year's thread to see if they notify you early on whether you'll be interviewed or not. My guess is that they'll string you along until the end of the cycle and do mass rejections then. I wouldn't be too anxious; doesn't look like they've sent out too many interview invites.

Whoa whoa whoa..................just received an invite....sept 13th, anyone else interviewing that date? submitted AMCAS 7/20......verified 8/3......submitted secondary 8/10.....no completion email if that helps

I graduated from the pharmacology program at Tulane, so Im planning on staying with a classmate who is currently a med student.....but i guess that doesn't help you much since im already good friends with him

NICE JOB!👍 has anyone else gotten an interview invite yet? Do people who do the ACP program or pharm program at Tulane generally get automatic invites? I applied to them last yr but didn't get in 🙁

No there is no automatic invite for us, I applied last year and did not recieve an invite, but increased my MCAT score since then and got an invite.

I thought the ACP program had ~88% acceptance into Tulane, based on the performance in the program?

2/19/2010- Did you stay with a student? (At Tulane, I think this is much more important than it seems, and I'd definitely recommend staying with a host if possible)

Right but that program, you had to have had previously been waitlisted at a med school....and I dont believe it is an official practice that they will admit, but if you talk to some people in these programs, it seems more or less an "unwritten" thing, provided that your stats are decent that you will get at the very least an interview.

Hi guys - I'm a current T1. Just wanted to pop my head in. Feel free to PM me if you have questions about Tulane. I don't come on here that often.

To answer a few questions I see:
--To get into ACP you must have been previously waitlisted. My understanding is that if you beat the class average (vs. M1s), you are automatically accepted for the following year. Those people are now our Gross Anatomy TA's, who are also in the class.
--Stay with a student. It's cheap and they are generally fun people. You can ask them "real questions" that you don't want to ask at interview day.

P.S. This is not an invitation to read your PS or secondary essays. I'm in the first month of med school and I'm totally not doing that.
 
So i added tulane on AMCAS late last week, how soon do they send a secondary? cos I havent gotten any from them yet and dont know if its a common thing or if i should call
 
Dang...completion email received today. Guess that means I won't be interviewing anytime soon.
 
When did you submit? I submitted on the 2nd and have not received a completed email.
