I called the admissions office to see if they could tell me about the program.......they said all pertinent information is online. I'm still not seeing the big picture of what Tulane specializes in and why there school stands out. I know it is a great school and I want to put in my secondary there, I just need to have reasons on my secondary and know why.

If anyone can tell me about Tulane, I would greatly appreciate some insight.

Submitted secondary 7/22 and letters and everything were in by then also. Finally received a complete email today. For all those still waiting, don't worry, it takes about a month for them to process everything.

Google is great, but I just wanted to know if anyone had some personal experience because it is likely much better than some summary or piece written on the internet by someone who has never interviewed there or attended. It seems like it would be much easier than sorting through 1,000,000 google results.

I have received the complete e-mail after a long time of waiting but I heard it's not good news?? Not sure how much truth there is to this but I read that complete email means they looked over everything on your app and they're not particularly impressed. Wishing for an interview here but also sort of losing hope after I found that out.

I think it's speculation, but seems likely. It seems like the trend for people who receive invites is they receive an invite after they submit there app without receiving a complete email. I don't think it means you won't be getting one, just not one of the first ones.

Hey I'll be there on the 27th too for my interview. I'm an in state LSU undergrad, so if you need any help getting around the state or just wanna meet and hang out, let me know.

I'm interviewing on the 27th as well. I just sent in the email for the Applicant Housing Program- is anyone else doing that?

How did you find out about interview? Is it status update or email?
 
Did you guys get a complete email? I submitted on the 1st and I haven't gotten a complete email yet.
 
So for all you OOS students, why Tulane!?
 
Got my secondary complete email on 8/6 just over a month after I submitted it. Got my interview on 8/20. Would love to go to Tulane, but have NO CLUE how I am going to pay for it.
 
it has been 5-6 weeks since i submitted my secondary, and i don't have a complete email yet. should i call/email? i really want to go here! but i know they are slow so i don't want to bother them too early 🙂
 
And rejected... Got the rejection email from Tulane just now. AMCAS submitted to the schools on June 25th, Secondary completed on June 30th, complete July 20th after LORs were received... Rejected 9/1/10...
 
got rejected too. but I had no reason why I wanted to go and already have 3 interviews so I'm okay with it 🙂

that's awesome! i have 2 interviews, but it still stings a little...
 
rejected... but its cool, cause i got 5 interviews in sept. 😛
 
Rejected. Would really have loved to go to school in New Orleans (or even just have an excuse to visit for an interview 😀).

Oh well, their loss.
 
finally got my complete email after submitting on 7/27. i guess they're finally catching up with applications?
 
Rejected 3.8, 32...kinda question if there is something wrong with my application...like a weird LOR or something..although I do have two interviews...*le sigh*
 
Got an interview invite today. Don't know when I was complete because they never sent me an email but I recall submitting the secondary a day or two after it came out. OOS 3.66/35

Did you guys get rejected after an interview or just got told you were not going to be invited for one? I've got a 3.75/31R and if you guys are getting flat out told no it makes me wonder what the heck is in mine that's making it go this far.

No interview invite, just flat-out rejection!

Well I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe Tulane does show some preference to residents of Louisiana. I am positive they do for undergrad, but I don't know for grad programs. They're really hunting to try to keep qualified students in the state, cause they're getting out pretty fast.
 
could you tell it was a rejection based of the subject of the e-mail? haha w/ uc davis i could...

Lots of schools don't focus entirely on GPA/MCAT. So, it gets really subjective at that point so I don't think there's much point in looking for a reason why highly qualified people get rejections, because there probably isn't a concrete reason.
 
Sorry to hear of all the rejections today. Hang in there. I can feel a Green Wave of rejection rolling my way.

I hear you. I'm surprised my rejection email didn't come...we'll see tomorrow though! Good luck everyone with the admissions process though!
 
Hmm bet my rejection comes tomorrow. sigh. I guess at least they don't keep us hanging.
 
I'm honestly shocked I didn't get a rejection email yesterday, especially with the stats you guys are posting. Good luck with your other interviews! I'm preparing for one myself so at least I have something to take my mind off the insanity of waiting.

Does anyone know if Tulane screens for secondaries? AMCAS was sent on 8/16 but I still haven't gotten anything...
 
Rejected yesterday. I kind of just wanted to interview so that I could go to the Quarter. I've heard great reports about this school, best of luck to all who are progressing in their application cycle! :luck:
 
u guys should check out johnny's po boy or acme oyster house in the quarter. Or Jacques-Imos, The bulldog, Juan's Flying burrito in uptown- for some food

no they don't screen. Are you verified? I don't think they send anything before verification...

Read through this thread and it seems like it's happening to reappilcants. I emailed [email protected] yesterday and am getting a little impatient. Do you receive an email when the problem is fixed? Or do I have to sit here an constantly try to sign in? I thought about sending another email, but don't want to me a pest. Any thoughts?

Did you already fill out your secondary and were you checking your status? If s o, that is the normal message that comes up. The only way you will get updates is through e-mail....but if you are trying to log-in to initially fix it, and that came up, don't fret- a number of people have said it happened to them- they should promptly reply with it fixed.
