I'm in the same boat! As far as I know (from these posts) AlaskanJustin is the only one that received an offer. I know several of us on here interviewed-so I'm just going to take as he is super special and john jay knew that he was in demand so they caught him early (congrats again!). I don't know of anyone else that got any news-so I hear ya-the waiting is killing me. I hope we hear something by Friday. Also, if anybody sees anything on any other sites about rejections or acceptances-please post here.

Hi - I know you may have gotten it as well but someone PM'd me that he/she received a John Jay rejection letter on 2/16 via snail mail....not sure what to make of this but I assume you are also crossing your fingers to the point of bone breakage so I thought I would share haha. Heard from a faculty member today that, officially, acceptances are still pending, and any acceptances that have gone out already were for special cases. Justin, we already knew you were special, but it's been confirmed!

Separately, I was told at my Fordham interview that the main psych-law programs keep in touch with each other and discuss which applicants they each prefer; it's likely that JJ DCT heard from Fordham DCT (who is her collaborator and former advisor) that Fordham was going to make an offer to superstars like Justin and made simultaneous offers.

Did this faculty member suggest that letters (rejection/acceptances) were going out this week as Justin suggested? And were you accepted as per your faculty discussion today?

so I received an email from dr mercado whom I interviewed with and she mentioned that the committee met again today so I bet you guys/girls will get news soon! I'm rooting me fellow stud doc peeps on!
 
if the person who was accepted to FSU wouldn't mind terribly PMing me the name of the POI they were accepted to work with I would be incredibly appreciative!!!!

my program i applied to (not Penn State) informed me of my acceptance after my interview (group interview) and there are more this week. I think maybe they picked a person or a few people after the interview. Is the interview a group interview?

Just wondering what is the threat to last years acceptance/waitlist thread? I'm interested to know when I may hear from my school. I only interviewed their yesterday so I'm sure I won't hear for a little while.

FYI you can also head over to the grad cafe site and use the "search results" feature to enter the name of your school...

For the people that interviewed at SMU Jan 30 - has anyone heard anything yet? They said two weeks and it's been more than that now.

Gotmy first acceptance! To a school PhD program. Dunno if it's a good fit, but it's an acceptance! I'm on the right track.

Congratulations!!! Since it sounds like you have your doubts about this program, I hope you get accepted into programs that you feel are a better fit. : )

Accepted to Miami University Clinical Program! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was almost 4 years in the making since undergrad- I feel like an Olympian!

He said *likely* sometime this week, but not for sure. I still haven't heard anything one way or the other.

However, I do know that someone (not me) got an offer for Dr. K. Salekin like the week after they interviewed (or at least so they told me today when we were at another interview together). So if you were applying for Dr. Salekin, you probably didn't get the slot. Otherwise, just continue to sit tight.
 
My POI at Alabama e-mailed me Tuesday and said it will probably be 3 weeks until I hear anything.

I hope funding hasn't fallen through for some professors, seeing as at least one geropsych person was accepted, and Dr. Karen Salekin's offered someone a slot, I believe, too. I know Dr. Sellbom was going to be taking 2 students, as well.
 
My understanding (at least with the child clinical track) is that the delay has more to do with applicants who were unable to attend the formal interview weekend. Since they are interviewing later, some of the POIs are waiting to meet with them before making decisions regarding offers. I haven't heard anything suggesting that funding has fallen through.

Hi all! I know that most of us have applied to only clinical/school/counseling programs, but are there any applied developmental psych. folks out there? I was informed this week by my POI at the University of New Orleans that I was on an "alternate" list for acceptance. Just trying to see if there are any others in my boat!

I hope you're right. I haven't heard anything about there being funding problems. I was just saying that I hope it has nothing to do with that, since the economy is affecting some programs' funding. My interview date was 3 weekends ago, and I think all of the psych/law profs interviewed all of their applicants then...so I hope we hear soon!

i don't think no news means bad news, YET. their admissions is so different and i don't think they've contacted everyone yet for first offers or waitlists. don't worry, keep hope and hang in there!!
