I am soooooo happy and excited for you. I've been reading your posts for months now, and I feel like I know you. Like everyone else, I've been rooting for you to get into Temple.

I just KNEW you were going to get in!!!!!

This has been a crazy/ wonderful day for me and it looks like it also was for quite a few waitlisters.

But don't forget: those who are turning down offers, please let us know where, the type of program (e.g. clinical, counseling, PhD, PsyD), the date when you actually declined the offer, and if you feel comfortable, your POI.

please feel free to PM me instead of posting and I will update at the end of the day.

Let's spread some hope to the rest of the waitlist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:xf::xf::xf::xf::luck:

I have been following your waitlist story for quite a while hamster. I really am happy for you that you got in!! Congrats!! Now, rub off some of your luck on me so that I can get in 😛 Really though CONGRATULATIONS!!! And thank you for taking on the new reporting efforts of listing turned down schools!
 
Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has gotten waitlisted/rejected from Boston University Clinical PhD. or Rutgers Clinical PhD.???

Rutgers graduate admissions emailed me @10:30 pm on a Sun. to say "The department has not yet rendered a decision on your application..." 😕

I kinda expect rejections but do some places not even tell you if you are waitlisted? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! 🙄
 
So... it looks like I should get final funding info back from my three choices on or before April 5th, so at least two offers should be getting declined on April 6th or thereabouts!

Still haven't heard from my WL'ed school, but am pretty much giving up hope on that... Maybe... :luck:

Hi everyone, I found out that I was waitlisted @ RU last week...I hope there's some movement this/next week so I can get into their PsyD program!!!
 
Quick question,

I am on the wait list at three schools that I feel are all very good options for me. None of which are clearly my "top choice" or "first choice." I've made very clear to all three that I would be "thrilled to attend their school", and for one, I noted it was a "perfect choice" for me.

I have heard that POI's appreciate when an applicant/ interviewee tells him that he is their "top choice," because then he knows they will accept his offer...... Sooooooooo-- Just wondering if I am sacrificing my chances at all of these schools by not communicating that one is my "top choice" above all others.

I'm not sure if I was on the waitlist or what happened.....but after 3 weeks of waiting...accepted into my #1 choice!!!!
 
Ok, I did not get as many as I hoped but I have posted what I have so far as offers turned down. I have a feeling there will be many more to come as we advance into April. So keep 'em coming! 👍

Yes, it is kinda sweeter knowing how you close you came. I was the last one
selected off the waitlist for my lab. The third and final slot- I came very close to not getting it.

Accepted to my first choice off of the waitlist this morning! I will be releasing an offer to Seattle Pacific University's clinical phd program is anybody is waitlisted there. Good luck everyone!

Well, it sounds as though after April 6th (or thereabouts) you will have one major decision done and can relax a bit.

Is your waitlist school a top pick?
 
Hi all,
If schools haven't told me either way post interview where I stand, does that mean I am necessarily waitlisted? When I called up schools they said that "no decision was made yet on my application". What does that mean? 🙁
 
So, I was thinking... would it be inappropriate to put a little cat in the corner of my posters at conferences, as a way to signal my secret, SDN identity?

so I had thought the same thing as you--that if you haven't been told either way, that you were waitlisted

However, one school told me 2 weeks ago that they hadn't made a decision....and then accepted me (3 weeks post interview)....so I think it really means "no decision was made yet"

So it really means that they just haven't reached my application yet? Or could it mean that we were both waitlisted and you just got off yours...

yes it could mean that...i was never told i was on the waitlist...I was just given an offer. Regardless, you haven't been rejected that is for sure.

Thanks... I guess it aint over till its over (April 15). then I can breathe easier, at least knowing that the whole ordeal is over... 🙂

hey there, don't give up hope. just spoke to them and it seems like a few students have not accepted their offer--hang in there. hopefully we'll be future cohorts 🙂
 
I won't be home until late tonight so I updated with what I had. I got a good amount of info today. Thanks and don't forget to pm me if you turn down another offer!
 
If anyone is holding a spot for University of Louisville, but they know they aren't going to accept it and you would feel comfortable disclosing this information via PM...PLEASE feel free to let me know!! :bang: I am on the waitlist, but maybe there is hope! :bang:
