meh too, and its weird bc i put in quite a bit of effort into their secondary and thought my 'profile' as an applicant was pretty in tune with them. Ah well, too bad 😳
might as well hang in there. seems like last year they had some more interview invites in january of ppl that didnt get ones right after the initial review.

Does anyone know if Brown accepts file updates prior to an II? If so, in what format? Thank you!
I sent them an update via email, and they wrote back, "Thank you for the update. We have included it in your file."
So I'm guessing they're OK with emailed updates.🙂

For people who have interviewed, when did you find out who was interviewing? Also, were they open file?
It's Nov. 7th. When I was there they said they would get back to us today! Did anyone get the call?
It's my understanding that there would be a status update on their website.
Edit: around noon.
I'm pretty sure they call (they have done that in years past for sure). But maybe the status update is done before that! Either way I'm going to be anxious all day!
You and me both!! But yes. On our interview day that said statuses would be updated 11:30 to noonish. Perhaps they call later in the evening? 😛

Hey guys, quick random question...
Does this mean that they will email the secondary at a later date? Or should I expect it in regular mail?

Admissions materials = glossy viewbook. Secondary invitation comes by email. Mine came a week after I was verified by AMCAS.

I'm assuming pre-interview since one person got his/hers after sending an in the area e-mail, but idk if that reflects everyone.
I think these were all pre-interview rejections.
Did anybody get an actual complete email or status from Brown? I got the email for account info, and my secondary and letter were all received on Aug. 19th, but my status says my app is still in process. Is that what everybody's was?

My application was complete in mid July and STILL I hear no news from brown. Can anyone weigh in on what this means? Are they just holding my application to reject me later? Are they waiting to see all the applicants before they make a decision of whether to interview me or reject me?

I'm in the same boat. I called them late last week and asked about this and they said this doesn't mean we're rejected or on any sort of hold. They gave the usual "run-around" about the admissions committee being very busy and reading every application closely. She did say that they welcome substantial updates or letters of continued interest in Brown.
What I figure is the case is that they saw our application and decided we are not an automatic interview or an automatic reject. They are probably waiting to get all the applications they are going to get and then compare us with the rest. So they are picking "the best of the rest" to offer the final interview spots. So we'll just have to patiently wait until the deadline has passed and for them to do another round of review of the rest of the applications before we got a yay or nay for interview. Who knows how long this process will take. I kinda wish the admissions office will just tell us if we actually have a chance so I can just move on with my life.
