I would imagine this isn't a bad thing,
I believe I did receive an email but it seems spotty as to who receives emails for various status updates, I definitely wouldn't read too much into this. I am complete since 9/8 and would really like to be reviewed... waiting this long is the worst and I haven't had and II's yet so its really quite depressing.

I never got one and I got an II. It probably doesn't matter too much. Just make sure your status is "complete and will be reviewed" on the webpage.

when did you get marked "complete and will be reviewed" and when did you get your II?

I dont think so people have stated previously that even without the complete email they have received interviews.. I think it helps but doesnt really hurt your chances!! Its just a update!!

I had to change my address with Drexel this morning after my status changed to "Final," and the admissions office said that the letters would be mailed out early next week!
 
No change to any decision yet....AHHHHHHH!!!!

You will definitely get the final decision status next week! don't worry. I know this is painful but it's worth the wait.
 
interviewed mid october
got the "with committee status" the week before thanksgiving
got the "final decision" status today...... no idea what to expect :xf:

Hey man how long has it been since you interviewed? I got the final decision in pretty much 8 weeks post-interview so if its been that long then you should find out next week. The wait sucks but I hope it works out for you.
 
what time of day did most people's statuses update to interview invites?
 
Changed to with committee this Monday, interviewed first week of October. Well, maybe next week!

Yeah it took me exactly 8 weeks too!

Keep checking it. I had a monday status change a few weeks ago and my status changed to "final decision" late afternoon that friday. You will for sure get some time of decision status by next week. Good Luck!

The students are probably really busy. I know they send in their evaluation within a couple of hours and then have no further bearing on your admission. If they don't respond, don't worry about it.

4 weeks here. I interviewed 10/17 and got the "final decision" status on 11/18. It really depends on when those evaluations are finally turned in from your interviewer.
 
I just got an II (from randomly checking my status) and I am pretty excited! But I was wondering, who do we go about contacting for the student host program? I really don't want to spend more money than absolutely necessary at the moment! I also never received an II email, is this normal?

Those who received interviews- were you on re-review prior to receiving the interview? I have been on re-review for awhile now and sent a recent update letter, but haven't heard anything yet.

No re-review it was a straight interview.
 
So I saw that someone in here said we could try to get an earlier interview date by canceling our current one online and then it will show us the calendar again... Can anyone confirm this because their web page says if you cancel, you have to call them to reschedule. Also, if I did this, does it mean I'd lose the date I already have, or could I select it again?

At what point are they only interviewing for waitlist spots? I'm worried because I have an end of January interview right now. Blah 🙁

A girl I interviewed with did the student host program. I think she said she found the info on their website. Otherwise, don't hesitate to call admissions.
 
I got my interview invite over a week ago, however the earliest date I could schedule my interview was in Feb. is that right? It kinda seems really far away.

Did I miss something? Did anyone who got an II recently schedule their interview sooner?

I thought you had to call to reschedule also. But when I called, the person told me to do it online by hitting cancel. Sure enough, you can hit "schedule my interview" again and see what spots are available. The date you had before will be open so you can re-select it. I did this like 200 times before I found an earlier interview :laugh: good luck!

I got my interview from them 2 or so weeks ago and the earliest available date was the end of January, so unfortunately that's how far out they're booked at this stage in the game. Anyone know how full the class is already??
 
For those of us on the waitlist...if we send in the wait list written response, will we see a status update online?
 
Earlier in the thread people have said they got a status update on Monday instead of Friday, just wondering if that has happened to anyone yet today?
 
My file is now with a member of the committee (interviewed mid Nov)! Hopefully I'll hear back before the holidays :xf:
 
Letters for those who went to "Decision/Final Decision" should have been sent out today or tomorrow. This is according to the admissions office last Thursday who told me that they would send them out early this week (had to have my address changed and asked when they were actually going out).

Same! changed to with committee last Thursday and really hoping for some good news this week!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON DREXEL I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍 Ahhh this is my top choice school.... checking status daily, though I know the committee meets on Thurs..... ok going back to work now!
 
it really feels as if they will never ACTUALLY review my application been "your application is complete and will be reviewed" forever now.

pretty discouraging.

People who interviewed in the first week of October (i.e. R1MD and myself that I know of) still haven't heard back...so you may still have a while yet...

That being said, I have finals next week and the anticipation of this decision alone is preventing me from focusing at all 🙁

Don't let the wait jeopardize your grades because in the end of the day grades are the most important things that will land you into medical school. Stay positive and don't be distracted because everything will be absolutely fine.
 
Interviewed here today....

good group of applicants

they said you will hear back in about 8 weeks
 
My status updated to this a few weeks back:

"Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision. "

Does this ever turn into an II or is it just a "hold" pile until rejection?
