How long does Drexel take in sending Secondary applications after AMCAS verification ?

I was verified early September and i'm still waiting, unfortunately =/

For people who interview before 10/15, do you know if they update the statuses online post interview?
You should see the status of your application as it progresses through the rest of the process, but even if they make a decision on your app prior to the 15th, they won't send out the snail mail letters til that date.

After a decision is made, the status will read either "a decision has been made" or "a final decision has been" and a letter will be mailed to your address

I think the word final indicates either accepted or rejected. Without the word final likely indicates wait list.

anyone else complete in july still have no decision available? I feel like everyone complete in july has either been put on hold or invited for interview, they are just totally ignoring my file lol

I am waiting too.. they said that after AMCAS has verified it takes about 4 weeks for them to get the verified application and then they will send out the secondary. I am not convinced since I got secondary applications from all other schools that I am applying to !!

Finally got my secondary application...it's kind of late in the cycle. Do you think I should still apply? I'm O.S. with decent stats.

Shoot for the stars : ) If you want to go to Drexel, why not try? 😎

i think you should just hand it in...its a little late but can't hurt

I was complete mid august sometime. I believe the 15th or so.

Hold.

I recall reading someone posting previously and asking if anyone has statistics on the number of "on hold" individuals who receive interviews. Doubt this data is out there, since it's all insider, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

Bumped question.

Just get it in and don't worry about how "late" SDN considers this, especially since you just got the secondary now. Drexel only started interviewing in the last couple weeks, there will be plenty of time for them to see your app.

Interview Invite! Had a weird urge to check my status page and there it was. 😀

Submitted my secondary on 8/8..interestingly, the fee waver was received on 9/17..weird..I didnt pay $100 at the first place either!
Oh well, i m taking this as a good sign--> maybe they are starting to review my file?!?

I just interviewed here today, and had a generally good experience. I had to take a shuttle and interview at a different campus in the city center area which wasn't ideal, but it was a good opportunity to see a little more of the city. The student interview was great, and the student was very thorough and answered a lot of the questions that I had about the school. Overall nice school, nice experience. Good luck to all applicants! 👍

the food court sucks though !!

Just got an interview invite via email...I wish they had checked my status update earlier....

I just received an interview invite by email as well. I am so stoked! I wish I had checked my status earlier. Does anyone know what percentage of students who interview get accepted? Is the turn-around time for decision making after your interview really within 6-8 weeks? Thanks!

Is it just me or is looking at your status page for Drexel like cracking a safe compared to other school's status pages.............

Seriously. If I'm looking at the correct page, mine just says complete. I submitted everything Sept 1, and I think I paid Sept 7th (when my MCAT score was released).

Does anyone know if they still give a prompt to answer on the day of the interview?

Invited for an interview!! Really excited. Unfortunately the earliest date I could pick was December 1st.

Does anyone know what percent of those interviewed are accepted?

I second this question! Does anyone know???

They must have released a good number of interviews today then because last night the earliest day available was the first week of November, and most of the mid-to-late November dates were still open too!

No one knows outside of admissions how many come off of "hold" as far as I know. Historically, based on SDN, not many come off it.

If I recall, Drexel interviews around 1300 and has 260 in the class. From past stats, acceptances were given to around 600 (no time to find the average number). They take applicants off the waitlist up to and during orientation week.

The turnaround time from interview may be up to 12 weeks, probably closer to 8. There is a person who reviews the faculty interviewer's notes and the student's interviewer's notes (I think they're blinded to your stats), so this adds time to the process, unfortunately.

Oh and for what its worth... I didn't get my MCAT scores til the end of September (back when I was applying). I interviewed at 5 schools overall and was accepted to 3. Early is better, but later is not out of luck.

Oh, yes, generally the cafeteria sucks. But, its better than nothing. Most students don't come to lecture anyways.

Good luck and go Phillies!

Thanks a lot. That's a lot of great info. I really hope that they actually accept around 50% of those who interview, that'd be amazing!!!

+1. Complete 7/25 and still at no decision available. Have you called asking about it?

So wait. We have to write an essay when we interview here?

same, did anyone try calling, its been 2+months, should we assume a rejection??

First decisions will be sent out on the 17th.

How do you know this? Also, does that mean our status will also be updated around this time online or could it be earlier?

called admissions. I didn't ask about that.

Your turn.

I just interviewed here and if I remember correctly, all decisions (accept, reject, waitlist) are sent via USPS.

When am I going to get a secondary? I was verified mid-August and I sent Drexel an email more than three weeks ago, asking about when I can expect to receive a secondary, with no response. What's up???

I was verified midAugust (well....between August 11 and 14) also, and I got my secondary September 1st.

Lol, my status is still "Your file is complete and will be reviewed. "
