Complete since 8/1 and still haven't heard anything...either way...hoping for the best:xf:

I'm on campus weathering the storm right now 🙂 anyone in dc wanna meet up?

Just landed at National. See you guys on Monday.

Whew, I'm sure that was a nail-biter for you. And now you have the whole hurricane-filled weekend to explore DC - lucky you! Smithsonians, museums, national landmarks (minus the Washington Memorial and National Cathedral - they sustained damage in the earthquake).

Even luckier that the hurricane seemed to whimper more than bang, at least around me to the west. By tomorrow, all of that fun stuff should be open. 👍 Enjoy DC!

I just bumbled around campus and found where I'm supposed to be tomorrow.

Any advice on how to get there from Rosslyn? Is the GUTS bus going to be running tomorrow?

Guts is running tomorrow so you shouldn't have a problem.

Also, it must have been freshmen move in day on campus or something.

Very nice. It's okay, I'm only 20.

That went much better than I could have imagined. Dr. Sandler was the best interviewer I could have asked for.

Congrats to all with interviews so far! It's been pretty quiet out there, any new invites come out lately (and, if so, when were folks complete)?

For the "why georgetown" essay, did anyone go over one page? It says not to, but 5000 characters is a lot more than one page single-spaced, so I don't know which to prioritize.

.5" margins. Don't go over 1 page

Is there any forms or documentation we need to bring to the interview?

Thanks!

Is Georgetown open or closed file? The interview feedback has both, but there's only one interview scheduled.

No. Just bring a pen.

They have your primary without your grades/MCAT, but not your secondary. They also have access to nothing beforehand.

So it's semi-open? They'll have EC's and PS, but no grades. Interesting.

Any suggestions on whether to attend the optional breakfast and class or just go to the introduction at 10:00 am?

do you know if it's worth it to do an "in the area" email to georgetown if i'm coming close to DC from NYC for an interview at USUHS?

Got my second MCAT score recently. On the fence here. Should I even apply here this late in the cycle?

Definitely. They were very receptive in my case. I got an interview at GW, sent an email, and got an interview at Gtown for the day after my GW interview.

Had my interview Tuesday last week. Really disappointed with myself, I completely miss-interpreted one question and gave an incorrect answer for another (answered it in a way that makes me look worse than I actually am).

I really hope that it doesn't put me out of the running here. The admissions staff was totally cool and sold me hard on the school. Would be awesome to hear good news, but I'm not holding my breath.

If you have any questions about interviews, feel free to PM me, but honestly I might not be the best source of info considering my performance last week.

Everyone in my group did the optional stuff as well, though one person showed up a bit late to it.

I know someone with similar stats who got an interview. That's why I'm perplexed.

Different Ecs? crappy LORs? not so well written personal statement? I'm sure medical schools check for more than just the "stats"

Sorry about the bad news. Good luck elsewhere.

I can't find "view your decision". Do you see it after you log-in?

Decision status is listed right below application status

Hey, all you guys who found your rejections on the site today... when were you complete? My site looks the same when I log in... no decision link...

Percy: judging from the other threads I've been following, you have 38329285 other interviews, so I think you're good to go 🙂

Could somebody please post the link to the status page? Thanks!

Complete 7/27. Haha, and I guess I'm doing ok, but nothing's in the bag yet. I'll be crossing my fingers until I'm settled in my new dorm. 😛

Could somebody please post the link to the status page? Thanks!

Was everyone rejected a high MCAT, low(ish) GPA group? Clicking around some MDApps of those who posted and it seems that way. Was the case with me
