I think application status refers to the 3 items below it:

Application received from AMCAS
Secondary app received
Fee Paid


Interview status is the one you want to focus on I believe

I actually don't have any lines under that... but I think that may be because my app isn't "processed" yet.

On the main page (that you get when you log in), my "Pre-Fall 2012" is listed under "submitted applications," not "applications in progress." So then I click on "Pre-Fall 2012" and the first line I see is the "complete but not yet processed" sentence...

Yup it's supposed to be under Submitted Applications.

Application Status:
AMCAS Application Received?
Yes Jefferson Secondary Application Received?
Yes Jefferson Secondary Application Fee Paid?
Yes
Interview Status:
Decision Pending

That's what I have when I click "Display Secondary Application Status" on the main page

Doubt it. According to your list, I think the first would mean the application is not ready to be reviewed for whatever reason. The second is ready for review, but hasn't been reviewed, and the third has been reviewed without any final decision made.

These are just my guesses, but it sort of makes sense to me...

Yeah that's what I originally thought too but estelyk called the office and asked about the first one in my list and they said that it meant your application is still under review, and there is no decision yet. That's why I was confused. Oh well, I have the "Interview Decision Pending" so I'll just have to wait and see I guess...good luck
 
I received a phone-call three weeks ago informing me that I would be receiving an interview invite, but I never had a status on the website. After people started getting their actual invites here I gave Jefferson a call and it turns out I wasn't in the electronic system correctly.

So if you don't have a status - see if you can get it fixed!
 
Status Change: Interview Offered for October. 😀 No email as of yet.

When did your status change to "interview to be scheduled" ? Mine changed on Monday and I really want to find out when my interview is going to be!
 
I also received my interview date this evening! I'm really looking forward to the interview, but, is it just me, or does it seem strange to anyone else that they've just assigned us a date? Most schools either give you a few options or let you choose on a first-come-first-serve basis (although JMC says they can try to change the interview if absolutely necessary). For some reason, I find that lack of choice a slight pause for concern (as in, maybe the school is far less courteous than other schools).

lots of schools assign you a date. you can reschedule if you can't make it.

To be honest, I didn't check originally. All I know is that it has been over 10 days so far. Sorry for the vauge answer

I never got a complete email, complete status, or interview email. Did they just give me an interview or am I in denial...?

No status bar at all. I don't think I was actually ever put in the computer.
 
Interview offered 🙂 Mid-October. (not stellar stats but interesting back story- nontrad- 3.65/3.8, 31Q) Very excited about this!
Anyone have any insight into what interviews are like here?
Congrats to everyone with good news!

Edit: looked at last year's thread and saw that they only interview Wed's and give answers pretty quickly post interview (1-4 weeks but mostly 1-2 weeks). Also, 1 faculty and 1 student interviewer. Anyone know of anything else?

I have had that since late June. I called to make sure everything was okay and the admissions office said that my application was under review and not to worry.

This is exactly what I see too when I log on. I submitted the secondary in late June and my letters were sent out 8/2. I've had this status ever since.

No it does not... what I copy/pasted is literally all I have on my website. I'm not even sure where people are seeing this "Interview pending" statuses and whatnot (that is, where I can expect it if it ever even shows up)

They said that the "This web application is complete but has not been processed" line really has nothing to do with them reviewing the application. I agree that it is a little stressful though! If you are really worried, theres no harm in giving them a call yourself. It's also only mid-August, so theres no need to freak out quite yet 🙂
 
Interview Invite!!!
- sencondary submitted 7/28 and remained on "decision pending" and the "..but not yet processed" status until today. Did not receive a complete email or invite email, just checked online.

excited for a trip to Philly!!
anyone else interviewing in mid-october?

I called them worried about not having this "interview status" everyone seems to be talking about. they said my app was complete and under review. It doesn't show "interview status" anywhere on my page. My page looks the same as yours
 
Status changed today from Decision Pending to "Interview to be Scheduled."

No emails or prompts for action.

I submitted June 29. I feel like it was decision pending FOREVER.
 
My status was Decision Pending for a month and a half and I just checked and it's Interview Decision Pending. Did this happen to anyone else/anyone know what this means?

wow im still confused. where exactly is this "decision pending" status (or other statuses) listed?! what page exactly?

I'm taking it to mean that they looked at our application again or something. That would at least mean that our applications weren't forgotten or lost somewhere! Maybe..?
 
Well I just got interview deferred status 🙁.

Admissions told me it means that they decided not to grant an interview to the applicant at this time but may change their minds with updates n stuff.

I'm thinking its a rejection.

Sucks cos I really liked this school.

what were your statuses before and date?

Keep your head up, (didn't you get an invite somewhere else so far?)

Well if they don't say it's a rejection, then it's not a rejection. Just put your head down and keep chugging forward...send updates etc. and you never know 🙂

I applied a little later than I hoped, verified 7/25 but I submitted jefferson's secondary 7/26 dunno when I was marked complete.

But it was "Decision Pending" for these last 3 weeks until today it changed to deferred.

I started to become complete at my schools since early august till now so I'm under review at a lot of places. but no I don't have any interview invites as of now.

I'm just nervous with this whole application process because:
1. Of the general competitiveness of med school applications
2. I am a borderline to average applicant

If there are legit things to update sure. If you are just updating to call attention to your apps I don't think it's gonna help.

Hey, I applied earlier, similar stats, no invite yet....

don't enjoy this waiting game, luckily I have more secondaries to do.... (md and mostly DOs now...)
