Accepted - will most likely attend. (33Q/3.9 for those wondering). I sent two updates, I believe, and an LOI.

accepted off wait list by e-mail. Will definately attend. One of the happiest days of my life. Sent a loi post being waitlisted. No additional lor. pm me for any additional details.
😀 You've been holding out for that acceptance for a while, congrats!
I emailed the admissions office to ask about the waitlist movement and to see if their class is already full. I haven't had a response in a week.

Anyone here get an interview/acceptance with a high GPA and a 30-32 MCAT? Wanted to apply to a reach school in NYC and was wondering if it would be worth it to apply here
Given your stats, I'd say NYU is a realistic reach school (their bottom 10th percentile MCAT is 30). I'd apply if you want a nice option in NYC (and/or Einstein). Good luck!

I have a 3.95 GPA and a 30 on the MCAT and am waitlisted. It can't hurt to apply! Keeping my fingers crossed.

NYU is usually pretty open to interest/intent letters, and who knows, there might be some movement left. At this point, go for it! You don't have anything to lose! Are they still taking LOIs? I really regret not sending one earlier now 🙁 already got into several schools but NYU is still by no.1. What do you guys think?
YahI am not a facebook member and had never intended to join. Am I missing out on useful information about housing, classes etc. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
Got in yesterday off the waitlist! So Pumped! (32, 3.9)
Yea, I sent in a letter of intent about a week ago. I didnt get an interview here until the last possible day and had to email them to ask for an interview too. Then I just got accepted off the waitlist with about a month left before classes start... In both cases I made sure to keep my emails to them respectable and free of desperate tones but I really had nothing to lose. My buddy told me, when I was considering whether or not to email them asking for an interview, that "a closed mouth doesnt get fed"...

Hey I got in off the wait list last week. 3.8, 34
Does anyone know where to order some NYU med gear, ie. sweatshirts and stuff? The website I found seems pretty unstocked.

Has anyone heard anything from NYU? I just got accepted almost 2 weeks ago and deposited my 100 dollars and then sent in my housing app last week, but I haven't received any emails or anything else from them. I'm kind of worried, it doesn't really feel like I got in because I'm not being constantly spammed.

You will start getting spammed soon. Once you get your orientation packet and your acceptance packet you will have more than enough stuff to keep you occupied 😉
hey guys,
Im jw, if you get accepted this late on the Waitlist, is housing guaranteed this late in the game? Do we end up in one of the apartments? How smooth is the transition? I hate dilemmas... 🙁

The housing website for the med school states that all incoming students are assured a housing offer, assuming you aren't living with a significant other.

Thank you! Do you know if the rooms are furnished with mattresses or desks? or anything else? I couldnt really find any info except what the kitchen is furnished with... I'm assuming they don't have anything for you in the bedroom. Thanks again!!
Im pretty sure they said the rooms were somewhat furnished. I remember someone saying you can have the furniture removed if needed.

Apartments come fully furnished, though you can opt-out of furniture if you want. Studio apartments are not furnished though.

Hey urd0rkk,
I would def check out the pre-matric checklist here: http://school.med.nyu.edu/student-r...t-resources/orientation/orientation-checklist
There is little info in the actual acceptance letter, its mostly on the checklist.

Hi. I know there will be a wait list for white coat tickets but my relative is willing to pay $500 for one. If anyone has an extra ticket, please private message me. Thanks!
