2011-2012 Psychology PhD/PsyD Interview Invite thread

For those that were holding out for UNC-Chapel Hill (like I was), their website was updated today, stating "All applicants who have been selected for an interview for the class entering in Fall 2012 have been notified. We had a record number of applications this year (over 630), and an unusual abundance of highly qualified applicants."

Ahhh! Brutal, this really stings. Still no invites anywhere but was really hoping for UNC.
 
Syzergy, that would be great actually. I've heard that a lot of I/O programs don't conduct interviews prior to accepting/rejecting applicants, but either way it would be great to have a heading in your thread. Thanks!

I just got an interview email from Northern Illinois! Since their first offers went out about 8 days ago, I assumed I was out of the running, so I'm pretty happy about that.
 
Someone posted in TGC about an invite to U of Memphis clinical. Would that person mind PMing me if that was a mass e-mail or POI specific/what POI? Thanks 🙂
 
For all of you people waiting, I just spoke to the primary investigator of my study (faculty member at Syracuse University). He said that all invites should be going out this week. He was actually going to make a few calls after my our study meeting was over.

Good luck to anyone applying here. Syracuse is a really great school and a really great program.
 
I called this morning and the person said they were pretty much done calling for clinical/health at Pitt.
 
Has anyone received post-interview news? Acceptances or wait-lists?

I'm so happy! Thought all the invites were already out! This email is from the same POI for did a pre-interview phone call with me.
 
I haven't heard a peep out of anyone from University of Illinois Chicago, nor have I seen anyone mention it. The deadline was December 15th, so I would have thought something would have happened by now.

Also, any word on if U South Carolina is done with invites?
 
I called the program assistant for U Florida's Clinical & Health Psych program. She said they will be letting students' know the status of their applications (i.e., interview invite, waitlist, rejection) the first week of February (which seems so far away).....

The POI at the lab I work at (for UW adult clinical) is still looking through applications and I believe they'll be making calls by the end of the week. (From what I'm hearing around the lab). So maybe other POIs are still looking through apps. Don't lose hope yet!

Anyone know what's going on with Ohio University? I think there was one notice on TGC and that was it.

Does anyone know if all the invites have been sent out for the University of Iowa. I saw it mentioned once on TGC, but haven't really seen many posts about it on here.
 
I've seen quite a few Georgia State Clinical invites from yesterday and today.. As of 9am today, GSU has not yet extended all invites... what do folks think now? Cross Georgia State off the list?
 
I just called Harvard to inquire about the status of interview invites for the Clinical PhD. I had to leave a message, but as soon as I hear back from them I'll post up what they say.

Sorry I didn't inquire about the interview dates, though probably around late Feb-early March.

Are you referring to Iowa's clinical or counseling program? I know that the counseling psych program was sent out via a mass e-mail so I assume that all of those were sent at the same time.

Saw some people bring up Illinois UC and Emory...

Emory: saw someone post about them not extending any more invites, and the secretary did tell me most invites would be extended by last week. I applied and am treating it as a rejection...

Illinois UC: got an email saying they "did not recommend my admission to graduate study". While I am disappointed about how things worked out, I am glad they let me know this soon. Not sure if all non-interview applicants got this email or not

YAY! That's super exciting! congratulations! Must feel pretty nice to be the first one on here with an acceptance (or at least a known acceptance)! Takes the pressure off! Was this one of your top choices? I don't mind starting an Acceptance thread, so I'll add your information! 🙂
