Keeping tabs on me? 😛

Notice how I said, it's my number one in Chicago?

I really wanna stay in Michigan to train. I need my mom to cook for me and deliver it to my pad. I'm spoiled like that.

Don't underestimate the value of having fambly close by. Not that I'm saying "don't come to Chicago." 😉

I don't think they do. Aren't you still supposed to indicate the identities of your letter writers if you're going the letter packet route, as it still counts as submitting individual letters? I think that's how they know to select specific letters from a packet containing more than two.

I would email the admissions office for a more definitive answer.

Thank you,
I'm not sure; the application was kind of weird in this particular section. It had a letter packet check box with space for a name, and it did not specify to include individual names in the space below where you fill out individual letters. I think I may call them just to see if they can change it to an LOR that fits their program better, though the two given aren't bad.

Do you know how receptive Rush is to "in the area" emails? I was complete at Rush on 8/22. I just got an interview invite at another Chicago school for late Oct (pretty much a month from now), and I'm wondering if there's any way I can make use of the same flight...!!

interview went amazing! everyone was so friendly! the medical campus is HUGE!

good luck to your decision for this school! :luck:

Put in a good word for me, I want to visit this school!!!

I have driven around this campus, and it is somewhat confusing how it is more or less fused with UIC...Do they essentially share resources?

Congrats by the way!

I don't believe it will have any effect, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Resources aren't shared in the way you're probably thinking. And though UIC's west campus abuts Rush, they're still easily distinguished. (As opposed to, say, how NYU is scattered throughout lower Manhattan.)

I was at the interview day today, too. There was this one really awkward kid who wasn't wearing a suit and kept asking questions about shadowing opportunities during M1 and M2, but other than that the day was great.

I hope more people don't show up to interviews in a suit that way my odds of acceptance will increase.

That was me! I didn't need the suit! and I only asked once!

Okay everyone, I'm OOS 32Q on MCAT, 3.52 cGPA...I know my GPA is pretty low but I love Chi-town and hear from Rush med students that they really love the school.

I still haven't applied (hopefully by this weekend). Do you think I have a chance?

It is pretty late in the cycle, and with those stats, I would encourage you to apply early next year; however, if you wanna go for broke, that's totally cool, follow your heart. I wish you the very best 😉

applying in early october...ehhhhhh :barf: wouldn't feel confident with that...

My AMCAS was verified yesterday, I received and sumbitted my supplemental application today. I know its late in the cycle but glad to see im not the only one in this situation. good luck everyone and don't forget to update us

What scores would you feel would be sufficient to apply around this time with?

Does it make a difference? i thought as long as you are within the range that they accept your chance is there. The committee might enjoy reading your personal statement and give you an interview. you never know. Anyone out of state applying late?

Just got the secondary complete email (12:55am MST) - now the real waiting begins... (OOS)

just a note-ive been talking with alot of M2 and a large majority of people who were accepted and actually chose to go to rush were interviewed in january, february, or even march (and with 27-31 MCAT scores) so being on hold and not hearing for months is not the kiss of death for this school. I want to go here so bad it hurts.🙁

I would have to agree. I think the only really disadvantage of applying late in cycle is that you risk a longer waiting game. Everyone should apply early as possible for your best chances, but if you like the school not applying at all is just anti-productive. Just don't be surprised if you get one of those july, hey this is Rush and we just had a spot open up phone calls

The waiting game sucks. I've only got 13 days left to wait until I start hearing back from interviews... but I'm still losing it.

I feel ya man. I just try to keep myself busy and productive, that's all a neortic applicant can do 😛

I can't tolerate the wait either. Good thing I have more than enough things going on to keep me occupied. In fact, I'm interviewing here this Wednesday, and I actually feel like I'm not prepared at all. Stupid job 🙁.

Hey, Ill see ya Wednesday. Ya, I'm on the job hunt still, so I got a bunch of job interviews wrapping around the rush interview. I am going to hate driving to the city after next week 😛

If I get an acceptance I'm quitting my job. Just kidding, but I'm going to be screaming in the office if I get an e-mail on October 17. I can care less if they fire me 😛.

See you Wednesday.

I legit just started working... haahah it's a shame I don't get signal in the hospital. Can't check my e-mail on my phone without signal.

I'm interviewing here on Oct. 26! Definitely one of my top choices!

You will find a way to check your e-mail someway, somehow.

Funny thing is... that all my keystrokes are monitored. Hahahahaha

 That's nuts, bro. If I get an e-mail, I already decided that I'm going to run out of the office into the middle of downtown Chicago, and I'm going to let out the most loud and visceral scream ever. People are going to think I'm nuts . I also decided to treat myself to seeing Mary Poppins live, ON THE SAME DAY! I'm nuts like that.

Edit: first I'm going to get drunk, then I'm going to see Mary Poppins, live. That's as cool as it gets.

Bro.... Mary Poppins? For serious?

Did Rush give out any interviews recently? Complete 9/7, haven't heard anything since.

Just curious if anyone OOS w/ <30 MCAT has received an II?

I was complete 8/22... sent them an "in the area" last week but immediately heard back with the auto "no decision made on your file yet" response that people have gotten in the previous years.

To anyone who interviewed at Rush last week, what time did the day end?
