Does Stanford deem certain applicants not even worthy of a rejection letter? Anyone know?

That is how I feel. I was complete in early July and have not heard anything since

Same here. I was complete in July. I'm convinced that my rejection letter got lost somewhere. At the same time I'm still hoping for an invite though..........🙁 🙁.

Me too... I was feeling hopefully since I haven't received a rejection, but the silence is killing me. Are they still sending invites? I wonder how many spots are left. 😕

I think they're still sending invites because people were still getting invites as of last week. At the interview on Tuesday, they said that they had extended approximately half of their acceptances already. I also found out that Tuesday was interview 10 or 11 out of 17.

Me too man. Complete in September though. I'm just convincing myself that it got lost at the Canadian border so I can move on with my life. Looks like JasonicBoom's Big West Coast Adventure will be but on hold for at least another four years!

anyone interview on jan 11 (or any other date) and know when decisions will be made? thanks!

I interviewed on Nov. 16th and heard back on January 18th: waitlisted. Looks like they take a little while...

Does anyone know what the waitlist stats are like? I'm wondering what the chances are of getting off the waitlist.

Good luck to those w/ interviews coming up!

Are there any important financial aid deadlines I/we should be aware of?

As far as I can tell, the next important date is the FAFSA deadline. Is there a deadline for the NeedAccess app too?

sheesh, that is a quite a long time for the decision. thanks ivory!

Rejected. The letter was dated 1/25. I was complete in August. I would have loved to go here but wasn't expecting much. :luck: to everyone else!

you stayed in the running for so long though; that is commendable. can't wait until us east coasters get our mail this week 👎

Does this mean everyone who has been waiting for the rejection letters (or interview invite at this point) should expect them around this time?

to accepted students: has anyone received any follow-up mail regarding financial aid, 2nd look, etc? i can't seem to remember if i have

The acceptance packet had some basic info on finaid, housing, etc. I can't remember if there was anything about 2nd look, but it's April 13-15.

Rejected, I really really wanted just to get an II here, since I'm from cali and have spent the last few years on the east coast. Complete August btw. Good luck to every1 else.

Got the rejection letter today as well. Would have loved to interview here, especially since SO is located near here, but wasn't expecting much. Congrats to those accepted, and good luck to those still waiting for news!

Got the rejection letter in the mail yesterday. Complete 10/18

hey guys what were the dates on your letters... if you dont mind me asking

Hi
Does anyone know which email address or how do we electronically send the passport photo of ourselves?
Thanks!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

... rejected after 6 months and 5 days. i would have given an arm and a leg to go here. at least now i get to keep my limbs. an east coaster by birth and an east coaster i'll stay 😎

My application was complete in early July and I have still not heard a word. Does anyone think it would be a bad idea for me to call about my status?

I applied early July, still no word, but I'm expecting my rejection letter very soon if not today.

I heard they're coming to the end of giving interview invitations at the beginning February, so I'm sure you'll hear a decision very soon. Best of luck!

Wow! I thought I wanted Stanford really bad, but I'm only willing to donate my left kidney and part of my liver.

lol well you didn't need to anyway. as an entrepreneur i'm sure i'll end up in the Valley someday and hopefully i'll run into a few of you prodigies there 👍

I'd also be willing to donate/sell to the highest bidder your left kidney and liver fragment 😏.

For those of us still in some sort of limbo with our applications, I've found that using last year's application thread is useful for determining what to expect from this year's process.

Interviewed 11/16, acceptance letter dated 1/24, received 1/27.

I didn't see anything in my packet about revisit weekend, but I'm pumped!

Is Stanford still offering interviews?...it seems like Stanford is the school you get the least feedback from...or maybe I'm just anxious/nervous since I haven heard back for months and months....I guess I can be comforted that I haven't been rejected yet 🙂

I really would like to hear good news from Stanford. Is that still a possibility. I've been complete since 8/31

I completed my application 30 minutes before the deadline.

Needless to say, I probably won't receive my rejection until March or April at the earliest.

can anyone shine some light on how admission decisions are made? like does interest/updates even matter post interview?

I'd like to know this, too. And how late is too late to send updates? Or perhaps the better question is: how soon after our interviews do they review our files and start making decisions? 2 weeks? 3 weeks?

wait i thought the point of updates is to send later after they review ur application?

I thought the point was to give them a little something extra to consider before they make a final decision. Once they make a final decision, how much can an update really help?

When I was there for my interview I remember the admissions coordinators specifically saying that if we have updates they would love to see them. You are supposed to e-mail them directly to one of the two admissions coordinators as a PDF attachment so it can be added to your file.

I would say that they should be sent as close to your interview as possible. If your interview was a while ago it still can't hurt you to send one in.

anyone interview on jan 11 (or any other date) and know when decisions will be made? thanks!

Looks like Stanford answered my question...
interviewed jan 11, waitlisted (snail mail postmarked feb 3), just FYI to those who are wondering when decisions come out post interview. also, anyone know how stanford's waitlist stats are like? I think this questions has already been asked, sorry if it's been answered elsewhere!

good luck to all on the waitlist or are interviewing

Thank you for sharing that information. I'm surprised that Stanford is making decisions so fast now!

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck. At least you still have a chance if you're waitlisted.

Got a call from Dr.Garcia tonight while I was ordering Mexican food at my local market, was the most surreal phone call of my life. I'm still not exactly sure what I actually said, I'm pretty sure I made very agreeable noises throughout the conversation hahaha. I kept checking my phone tonight to make sure I wasn't making all this up (I think the letter in the mail will help me realize I'm not crazy)

Such an amazingly nice person, his personality is definitely reflected in the staff and students at Stanford.

Best day of my life 🙂
