Ahh I hope I pre match here! I got my TTU Lubbock, but I want PLF! haha congrats to everyone.
Dumb question, but pre matches continue to be sent out until Dec. 31st right? Just at a lower frequency?

Yea they do. I don't even know about lower frequency this year, since some schools didn't seem to send out very many at all today.
its impossible to know... but in years past it has been a lower frequency after the first day
Accepted!

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
And to those of you who didn't pre-match, neither did I! And it's going to be okay! I let it really worry the heck out of me all the way up until match and it ended up being for no reason (hindsight is 20/20), because I ended up matching here on Feb. 1st. And there are a few of my classmates got in off of the waitlist much later than that... so like I'm sure you've all heard before... it ain't over 'til it's over.
It's possible that this year they're being conservative with pre-match offers, considering all of the drama last year surrounding A&M overfilling their class.

Accepted!
haha i guess all that piano performance really did pay off.
What date did you interview? (anyone accepted)
Accepted!
Congrats! Never actually talked to you on here but I've been pulling for ya!
Thanks everyone. This website has been amazing throughout my undergrad, because I didn't have a pre-med adviser or counseling.
I can honestly say though that this part of the forum was probably useless and created more stress and anxiety. However, I did get the opportunity to exchange PMs to a few people from this thread, and their words were extremely helpful in getting over this stressful process.

I pre-matched too!!! SO PUMPED.
Question: how do we hold our spot? Do we just respond to the email, or wait for the form in the mail and send that back in?
Go to the same place you went to accept your interview invite, the TTHSC merlin application. There is a tab labeled admissions or something and it has the option to, accept your offer.

Hm, when I go there, I just see a "Congratulations" page -- with an adorable wizard and some balloons. Does that mean I'm all set?

That's odd, I had to log on and click "accept" on the offer before getting the "congrats" page you're talking about. I might call just to be sure.

so I got that too after I hit "accept"
I also called John Snelling yesterday. They are mailing us a packet with an actual form you have to sign that says "accept" or "decline". He said to go ahead and accept online but also you still have to sign the form. There will be a self-addressed envelope to send it back. He said the timeframe was a "couple of days". I dunno if thats until they mail them out or until they get to us.
Hey GymRat,
Most people live on the west side of town, since it's newer, a little less congested and has more options. Popular apartment complexes are The Tuscany, The Legends of El Paso, The Pointe, and Acacia Park. There are a few others that some people live at as well. I wouldn't worry about it too much yet since the apartment complexes will have no idea what their availability will be come next June/July. Last year a packet went out to future students with reviews of apartment complexes, so that will help you decide as well.
That being said, I don't know if I'd wait until Spring Training to start looking (if it's in late May again). I know several people who seemed a little frustrated with the process having waited that late, when complexes were out of the floor plan they wanted or they ended up on a waitlist. One of my classmates waited about a month after school started before the apartment she wanted became available for move-in. I came on a separate trip in April to scope things out and ended up signing for an apartment then, since I wanted to move in a couple of weeks before school started so that I wasn't unpacking while dealing with orientation (3 weeks, most days from 8-5).

Students told us at my interview date it was 226 as of that day (early August) I think.
Does anyone know if we should be expecting a packet in the mail this week?
