I am hoping that they will be giving out all pending decisions by the end of the week (assuming the committee met on 4/3)

yes would be nice if today were the day. though I doubt it, what with the holiday weekend.

I applied to UMDNJ/RWJ 2011-2012. So far didnt get any email from any of them. Is anyone out there who didnt get any email or letter? What am I supposed to assume? Just wait n see or call the admission office?

probably not, they have waitlisted and accepted alot of people. i think most schools are done interviewing by now since rwj's "second look day" is in like a week.
sorry bud 🙁

you could try a post bac program to help out your stats.

Does anyone know approximately how many people are on the regular waitlist ? I looked through last year's posts and it seems about 25-30 are on priority list but I couldnt find how many are on the regular waitlist.

Yes. I was placed on high priority after being put into the very competitive category

Has anyone received (or heard) about need-based or merit-based scholarships from RWJMS?

As far as merit-based, they offered some full-tuition scholarships earlier in the week. After two weeks the unaccepted ones will be offered to further candidates.

lol....why does this thread have a 1-star rating??

According to Ms. Kramer, movement usually starts late May into June. I can't wait for movement to start.

Does anyone have any insight as to how much movement usually occurs? Or, any idea of roughly how many people are on the waiting list?

What would be the consequences if someone who has been accepted to multiple schools and does not withdraw from all but 1 by May 15 (besides losing the deposit money). How do schools / AMCAS enforce this policy ?

I am on the high priority list and havent been accepted elsewhere.

so those of us on the high priority list may not hear anything until june, maybe even july, with classes starting beginning of august. while I would love for it to be a problem I have to deal with... is anyone else concerned about getting things like housing and loans in line in such a short amount of time??

From the AAMC website:

After May 15 of the matriculation year, each school or program implement school-specific procedures for accepted applicants who, without adequate explanation, continue to hold one or more places at other schools or programs. These procedures:

a. May require applicants to respond to acceptance offers in less than two weeks and submit a statement of intent, a deposit, or both.

b. Should recognize the problems of applicants with multiple acceptance offers, applicants who have not yet received an acceptance offer, and applicants who have not yet been informed about financial aid opportunities at schools to which they have been accepted.

c. Should permit accepted applicants to remain on other schools' or programs' waiting lists and to withdraw if they later receive an acceptance offer from a preferred school or program.

After June 1, any school that plans to make an acceptance offer to an applicant already known to have been accepted by another school or program for that entering class must ensure that the other school or program is advised of this offer at the time that the offer is made. This notification should be made immediately by telephone and promptly thereafter by written correspondence delivered by regular or electronic methods. Schools and programs should communicate fully with each other with respect to anticipated late roster changes in order to minimize inter-school miscommunication and misunderstanding, as well as the possibility of unintended vacant positions in a school's first-year entering class.

No school may make an acceptance offer, either verbal or written, to any individual who has enrolled in, or begun an orientation program at a U.S. or Canadian school. Enrollment is defined as being officially matriculated as a member of the school's first-year entering class.

I am wondering about the same thing.

Has anyone called the admissions office to inquire as to when is the committee going to meet next to decide on the HP applicants ? I really hope to hear something soon.

the committee does not meet about HP applicants. There is just a list, and we are ranked. It is purely a numbers game at this point. HP applicants have already been "accepted" by the committee, we just need to wait until they are in a position to offer spots and then they need to get down to our spot on the list.

Thanks for the info.

Just curious where did you get this from ?

do you think they'll give us our rank number out of what total if we were to inquire?

i stand corrected, in past year's threads they've mentioned as many as 60(!) on the HP list..
I vaguely remember (and i can be wrong) when I had inquired with the admissions office in early 2012 about the Competitive hold category (which now is the HP list) they had mentioned that they had about 20-30 applicants in that category.

It may have changed with more applicants being added and people withdrawing after being accepted to other schools.

So it stands inconclusive as to how many are there in the category at this point.

Class size is down this year because you guys are the first group to lose all your Camden clinical sites to Cooper- perhaps it follows that the number of wait listed students is also reduced

when I inquired about 3 weeks back I was told there were only about 20-25 people on the HP list.

does anyone happen to have a rough idea as to how many acceptances occurred off the HP list last cycle?

Not sure where you got this info from, but the class of 2013 is the last to rotate through Camden, so this will be the 3rd incoming class with a smaller class size.

the acceptances you did see were only in June? nothing later on?

nothing...seems like other schools are making acceptances from their lists...dunno what's up...
