Here is what the reject email looks like if you really want to know. It's pretty cold:
To: XXX XXXX - Applicant Code XXXXX
This message provides you with your Match result for the APPIC
Internship Matching Program for internship positions beginning
in 2010.
We regret to inform you that you did not match to a position.
A list of programs with positions available after the Match will be
provided on the Match web site beginning at 11:00 a.m. EST on
February 22, 2010. This list will include only those internship
sites that elect to list on the web site any positions that remain
unfilled in the Match. The list of programs with available
positions will be provided at:
http://www.natmatch.com/psychint
In addition to the list of available positions posted on the Match
web site, APPIC is operating a Clearinghouse of available positions
via a free e-mail list service. Training sites can use the
Clearinghouse to provide additional or updated information on
available positions. Instructions for using the Clearinghouse e-mail
list service are available at:
http://www.appic.org
(select the links for the "Clearinghouse" and "Instructions for
Applicants")
IMPORTANT: You should now review carefully all the instructions and
procedures provided at the links on the APPIC web site referred to
above. The information provided there includes:
- Instructions for accessing information on available positions,
beginning on Monday, February 22.
- Overview of the Clearinghouse operation and procedures.
- Procedures and guidelines for submitting applications to programs
with available positions.
