Just out of curiosity. Has anyone ever requested a second interview following a rejection? Or maybe, requested information on why they were rejected if they felt an interview went really well?

I am in the position. It took 13 weeks to get a decision. How can I be accurately represented to the committee if they don't even remember who I am? I really like this school and align with their mission statement.

So sorry to hear about your rejection. To be honest, I'm not sure how much the interview is weighted in the decisions process. I just got accepted to a school whose interview I bombed (stumbled and rambled through more than 3 questions). I'm pretty sure Drexel is unlikely to offer you a second interview after a rejection, but they might offer you advice about why you were rejected. That being said, Drexel gets a ton of applicants, so unless you had some crazy weird extracurricular activities, they probably won't remember you too well.

I know some schools allow an appeal for pre interview rejections, but I'm not sure about post interview appeals. Good luck!

I was never under ReReview, it always said will be reviewed. I was complete early August

I'm going to say no, solely because I also interviewed at Drexel in early December. 👍

??? Interviews go through March or even April for some schools. I have friends who interviewed in February at schools and were accepted. December is not late in the cycle to interview.

Does anyone remember if Drexel has a free keurig+pods for their students in their student lounge or if they even have a lounge? I should have kept better notes on interview day, every school sounds the same now...

My student interviewer brought me to a game-room type place that I think kind of serves as a lounge. I don't remember there being coffee though, although I never specifically asked.

Why not buy your own? With a total COA of $250,000+, a personal Keurig and some pods will hardly make a dent in your student loans...

Nope, no lounge and no coffee. Just a small conference room and the cafeteria.

There was a student lounge with ping pong tables, foosball, and, I think, a vending machine. No coffee that I remember, though. Disappointingly, no nearby Starbucks either...

Hahaha I find it kind of funny that this seems to factor into your decisions about schools 😀
I'm not a fan of Keurig so I didn't really pay attention

omgomgomgomgomg my status changed to "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly" It's been only 2 weeks and I know it will take 4-6 weeks extra to go through... but its on its way!

Meanwhile, I'm going on to my 12th week...

Haha well I'm sure you noticed the lack of Starbucks at Queen's lane 😛 I'm just wondering since that'd be an awesome perk and would fuel my terrible coffee habit

I noticed some interviewers are really on top of their game and mine went by really quick too! Good luck 🙂

Has anyone heard anything about a second look day? sorry if someone posted about this before.

Anyone receive any interview invites recently? When were you complete? How long did it take between the "will be reviewed status" and the invite?

It has been around 6 weeks since my interview and my status still says "Your interview has been scheduled. If you've already appeared for the interview, your application will now be progressing through the Admissions Committee process."

If my status hasn't changed yet for 6 weeks, does that mean nobody has written their write-up on me yet. I'm being paranoid, does that mean they weren't exactly excited or interested in writing their report on me, again, paranoia and anxiety.

My first SDN post, I'm hoping everyone is surviving the process- no acceptances yet but waiting on Drexel decision, and another interview coming up. I hope I survive!

It's been 9 weeks for me and that's still my status. I called up the admission's office a few weeks ago and they said that they're running behind.

how many weeks are people typically in the "under review by the admissions committee"?

Haha touché 😉
I have to admit, I have a terrible coffee habit as well but Keurig just doesn't do it for me.

Regardless I hope you hear good news 🙂 Maybe someone reading this will get a Verisimo and we can all be best friends. 😀

oh man... i hope your status changes soon !! I guess some interviewers are faster than others... Just pray for good news 😀

Yikes. Looks like I probably won't be hearing anything until March or April.

Everybody needs to just calm down. It took a total of 14 weeks for me to get my decision. With the holidays and the admissions office "running behind," I would expect that decisions won't be out for at least that long over the next two months.

+1 to all of that for me.

Relax bro. I dont think anyone here is freaking out. We're just anxious and curious about when a decision will be made and are trying to estimate it based from others info... even though this school is pretty unpredictable.

It sucks you had to wait that long though. I'm in a similar boat for another school, I interviewed in September and their first decisions arent sent out until January. Sick.

have they given out anything but the "final decision" status this cycle?

Er.. Wasn't irritated, was just trying to mitigate a little of the paranoia going on up in here based on what myself and some other people on this thread have already experienced.

Sure. Your experience is giving people a more realistic outlook on response time from this school. All i'm saying is that most people on this thread are asking questions for a reason, not necessarily because they're paranoid.

Huh, interviewed less than two weeks ago and my status changed to, "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly" sometime since Friday. Must've been Santa.

yay or nay regarding sending the committee and update letter/LOI post-interview?

if anyone's done this, mind sharing how it went for you?

merry christmas, and happy holidays!

Should I bother withdrawing from here post-interview, pre-decision? It's been 7 weeks for me and no word. I've been accepted to a school I'd most likely choose over Drexel, but I'd still like to know my decision status here. How much longer is the wait??

Why would you bother doing anything then...? Might as well wait it out.

Honestly, if you have no intention of attending Drexel, then withdraw your application. It is a waste of the admissions committees time to review your file just so you can "see" if you would have been accepted or not. Also, the time they spend on your file, they could have spent on someone who really does want to go to Drexel.

If you still haven't made a for sure decision and want to keep your file in the running, then the wait time is unknown. I was about 7 weeks, while I know others who had to wait much longer. Once the interview is over, patience is the name of the game.
