Finally received my secondary this morning. I submitted my primary to them 1 month and 10 days ago I believe soooooooo since you submitted one month after me I would be expecting a wait. They aren't going in order though (I think that's the consensus), so my guess may be as good as yours.

does anyone know if there is a max number of letters? I too can't submit a non-science letter and see that someone above submitted 4 instead of 3 as a way to make up for it.. I would like to submit 5 and just want to see if anyone else knows the max number before I call them. Thanks!

My letter packet had 6 and they didn't seem to have any issue with it!

Man, I am so tired of waiting for my MCAT scores. I just want to bedazzle the adcom by submitting my secondary seconds after receipt! Ahh, the joys of prewriting... Although, I guess that doesn't apply to Drexel since there are no prompts. Bah.

That's what I thought... I got the sec this morning and tried to submit immediately but it took a bit more time than I expected because I had to find stuff already in my amcas and type it again -_-
 
This is for current Drexel medical students or others that interviewed last cycle..

Does Drexel reject if they know they are not interviewing you? Has anyone gotten an interview after being re-reviewed? If so, did they wait til Spring or did you get an interview earlier than expected?

Just wondering since I've been put on re-review.. Thanks!

They didn't start sending them out until the first week of August. I was verified on 6/6 and got mine on 8/8. That means I had to wait 8 weeks. You only had to wait 5. Chill out.

The person I was responding to was verified 8/14, but thanks for that.
 
Finally got my secondary yay!!! It's done and submitted...hope I don't get that "we'll re-review in spring email"

starting to wonder about a 'silent rejection'!.. submitted secondary 8/15.. haven't heard anything and lots of people seem to have gotten interviews who submitted after that.. what's the consensus about sending an 'in the area' letter? have an interview at Jefferson.. but don't want to overstep..

I have an ii at drexel. Sent in the area to temple and jefferson.

There seemed to be at least a handful of people last year who got invites after getting the re-review status. So, keep hope and send updates!

I saw someone asked about the bed and breakfast, people have posted about excellent experiences with them in the past. They are also compiling a list of student hosts now so you can e-mail and ask if you prefer that option.

Good luck everyone! Looking forward to meeting you guys. And - relax. All schools do things in their own time.

The thing that gets me the most is that the bed and breakfast place doesn't have a website! As much as I'd like the experience of staying with a student host, I tend to sleeptalk/walk when I'm nervous. I don't want to 1. freak out my host or 2. embarass myself, so I'm just going to pay for a hotel or something.
 
I submitted my primary 2 weeks ago, and still no secondary, Now I am only waiting on two secondaries, but I really want to submit to Drexel. :/

Eek. Stay away from Ambien. It tends to exacerbate those issues.
 
My status changed two days ago to "No decision is currently available. Please continue checking this website for updates." Is that basically a rejection?

I feel like no decision available means no decision available. Its not a rejection or hold just a nothing

Yeah, mine still says that, too. I thought I might hear something from Drexel, because they had fast turn-around with other people and I was complete around the same time. I give up trying to understand their methods, though. It's clear we'll never understand the inner workings of Drexel admissions. 😛
 
On the page before you click the "To View your deicsion status click here" does it show that your application is complete? cause mine still says incomplete after like 3 days 😛
 
mine too- I can't believe they started offering IIs before they even got secondaries out to everyone (I was verified a long, long time ago). seems a little unfair to me. not sure I want to go to a school that handles the app process like this, imagine what else they might mess up. . .

What was the original status then? Under review? I think it just means that you're not put on hold until April and you're not rejected yet.

I can't remember exactly but it was along the lines of "your application is under review"

I agree. I would understand if they were sending the secondaries in the order the primaries got verified, but the way they're going about things seems really unprofessional.

I did still apply though, mostly because I didn't hear they were offering IIs until after I submitted my secondary.
 
It's been 2 weeks and I still haven't received a secondary. Very weird.

my status was "no decision has been made, etc" but now says this, "Your file is complete and will be reviewed." anyone else just get this change?

Yes! Mine just changed to this but I don't understand the difference. Secondary received and submitted 8/16, got the complete email 8/21
