Interview invite! So pumped! I was seriously beginning to doubt I'd get any. Secondary received and submitted on July 31.

I just checked my status, hoping to find the same thing. But instead, I found that my status changed from the "No decision at this current time" status to "Your file is complete and will be reviewed." This is weird because I got the email that my file was complete back on 8/13. Why did the status change to this?

Anyone complete 8/20 with an II?
I sent in my secondary on August 7 (received it on the 6th) but did not get a complete email until August 20. I just checked my status (around noon PST) and it said that I was invited for an interview; I did not get an email (or at least not yet). That was like my third time checking the status today; shows how neurotic I am about this whole process.
same here, pretty neurotic, id be more so if their log in system was easier

Thanks! I was honestly not expecting any MD interviews (especially with the chances threads saying I didn't have a chance at allopathic schools), but with 2 interview invites this early on in the cycle, I'm a little more optimistic. 🙂
That would be awesome! I'm from area so it would be great to be able to come back for third/fourth year. I guess I don't have to think about that unless I actually get in though...🙁
Does anyone know the percentage of interviewees that are accepted?
That would be amazing, considering I live in Sacramento and my fiancee goes to vet school at UC Davis. 👍
Cool, looks like we're from the same place. They interview A LOT of people... >1300 for around 260 spots.

where does this data come from?
MSAR has the number being a bit lower, but regardless it's a lot of interviews.
MSAR online...1356 interviewed, 260 matriculated (in state and out of state).
Yay for nor cal! I hope they do end up finalizing that partnership!

Same situation here, just checked my status. Had the complete email 8/18. Did anybody switch to this status before receiving an interview invite or is this more of an on hold type of status?
Can we trade financial situations?? Can't imagine a time when I'll view $30 as a just a drop in the bucket.

Exactly. Especially Drexel, which is one of the most expensive medical schools in the country. You'll spend about ten thousand times that much going here, unfortunately.

Not what I am referring to, but point taken.
I've been complete since 8/7 and haven't gotten an II/rejection yet. Is Drexel receptive to in the area emails? I'm interviewing at Jefferson and hoping to combine a DC/Philly trip in one week to save on multiple east coast trips. I'd be limited to interviewing at Drexel (if they want me to!) on a Monday or Tuesday in that specific week only, so I'm hesitant to send an email with all sorts of specifics (don't want to sound demanding). Really trying to save some $$$!
MCAT: $hundreds-thousands
Primary: $1000
Secondary: $1000s
Interview, travel and lodging: $1000s
Deposit: $1000s
These drops add up quickly, especially in unsubsidized credit card loans. My cards are almost entirely maxed out. I'm working 2 jobs that pay poorly. $30 is practically a half of day's work after taxes.
THANK YOU EnergyDrink. Too often people on SDN echo "Think of this in terms of future educational debt..." Applying to school is very expensive and for many people your investment is hardly a guarantee of acceptance.
whoa. the metaphor wasn't meant to offend anyone. you guys summed up my exact sentiments that this whole application process is ridiculously (and IOM unnecessarily) expensive to a point where 30 bucks doesn't seem to get you very far. oh well..

I wonder if Drexel is good at notifying interviewees about their status soon after the interview? I don't want to wait months before I hear something. I'm off to last year's thread to find out!
