I've been with the committee for about 2 weeks.
I got the big envelope today! It took 5 months, but I forgive you Drexel! 🙂
Do I need to send in the $100 deposit only if I'm 100% sure I want to attend Drexel? Or is it necessary to send it in so that I can have Drexel as a choice come May? And if it's the latter, is it refundable if I decide to not attend Drexel?

CONGRATS! 🙂 It's refundable so just send it over! They don't take online payments so you gotta snail mail it out.
It's refundable until a certain date. Don't remember exact details. But the deposit does have to be sent in within, I think, 3 weeks to reserve a spot in case you would want it.

So I have a quick question. I know that schools recommend getting the FAFSA in by March 1, right? But you can only have 10 schools. What if you're still waiting to hear back from more than 10 schools? There are 12 schools I haven't been rejected at (yet). Do I just add the schools I got interviews at and add other schools later? Do I not send it to the reach schools? If I send it to 10 schools now and by some miracle I get accepted to one of the other 2 later, can I add them later? I just don't know what the best option is. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks! 🙂

For those who have had status changes, my status changed around 2/24 to say that I have been reviewed and will be re-evaluated in the spring. Since this is pre-interview and interview season is almost over, I'm pretty sure it'll become a rejection soon. Did anyone else get this status?
People have but I don't remember anyone getting an ii from it.

Have an interview here March 18th, but I decided to withdraw. Hopefully someone here can take that spot!!

First of all congrats. Put the $100 down to hold your spot. If you end up going somewhere else, I do not believe the money is refundable. However, if you end up coming to DUCOM, then the $100 goes into your tuition. Hope that helps.
accepted....first one this cycle. i'd honestly given up all hope. loved what i saw and felt of the school on interview day, and cannot wait to start here.
i really cannot say i was super ecstatic when i found out. i did, however, feel the weight of the world finally off my shoulders after what was a rough application period. after reading over that packet, i laid down and took the illest, most glorious nap of my entire life.

anyone know on average how much movement there is on the waitlist?

Hang in there. There is plenty of WL movement, and it can go up to the bitter end - some people have gotten the call the day orientation started, even. No reason to lose hope yet, keep updating and send a LoI, etc.

Anybody know if they're receptive to offering in-the-area interview spots? I just got an II this afternoon, but the only interview dates left were on 3/26, 3/27, and 3/28. I have another interview in the northest on 3/19, and I'm from Cali so I don't feel like flying back east again!
I'll probs just call them tomorrow when I finally get the chance (couldn't do that today- stupid 3-hr time difference)

You can always ask since you received a II, they cant take it away from you! Mind sharing your stats please?
Would they definitely change the status before mailing out letters?
in my mdapps profile but:
~ 3.5/3.4 36Q (i dont remember the letter actually). completed waay waay waay back in like september was put on hold in like november or something. also parents both went to Drexel (well precursor schools that became drexel, so I guess double legacy?)

thanks! and interviewed 12/4. stats: cGPA/sGPA both just above 3.6, MCAT- 32, OOS.
I emailed them when I was flying out for an interview at Penn State from the Midwest and they didn't even respond.. haha. but it's definitely worth a try! I'm interviewing *literally* across the street at Jefferson in Philly in a couple weeks and probably won't try again. It can't hurt though! Best of luck!
** also i had/have not received an II from them so this is definitely a different situation -- just my experience in asking them about in-the-area-IIs

Now that I have two schools to choose from, it's going to be a difficult decision!
Schools download the data pretty often, so it's okay to remove a school and then add another school. I received 2 additional interview invites after I submitted my FASFA. I simply went online and deleted a couple of places that I probably won't interview at, then added the new ones. I only recommend deleting schools that you haven't interviewed at though!
You can always call the financial aid office of schools to verify that they have your most up to FASFA info as well.

interviewed 1/14, sent to committee after 4 weeks but I've been under review by the committee for the last 3 weeks now. any advice?
I got my acceptance packet in the mail yesterday!! I interviewed 12/6/12. Best of luck to everybody still waiting!!
