50 schools?! That's almost $6,000 in applications alone. Holy mother of god.
Not to mention time and effort writing secondaries.....

And....sadly looking forward to Monday only because of the potential for interview invites this week...
I hate being complete early in July and not hearing anything back, while others get multiple interview invites. 🙁
Applied to 30 schools with 3.8+/38+ and all I've got so far is one rejection. Something is wrong with me 🙁
I submitted my primary 08/06 and was complete between early and late September everywhere. I know it's a bit soon to be panicking, but I'm starting to think submitting so late might have destroyed my chances.

I'm in the same boat as you, except I only have a mere 34.
I HATE EVERYBODY IN THIS THREAD 😡😡😡

WHAT I DO???![]()
Lol, wut?
I'm in a very similar boat. I had to submit late because of prehealth committee stuff, but it is discouraging to put so much effort into the application for little return. I thought October would be the month I finally would get some news, but still nothing yet. 3.7 35 are my stats, and I put so much love into making my essays shine 🙁. Thank God for my state school showing me some love, otherwise I would be going out of my mind right now. I saw some gif a few days ago of a guy saying "love me hate me kill me just let me know!" and that is basically how I feel everyday at this point.
I honestly thought SDN was exaggerating on the whole SUBMIT EARLY!! thing, but it looks like in this case the hivemind was dead-on. At the one interview I attended, they said that by September they had already received more applications than they did all of last year in total.
I feel the same way about rejections. Of course, I don't want to be rejected but it's somehow reassuring to at least get some signs of life out there.
Texas resident. Applied to all the Texas schools and only 3 interviews. Texas moves fast. They start interviewing in August and stop interviewing in December/Very early January. I am nervous about Texas because I was expecting more interviews from my home state. My topic choices in Texas haven't sent me any interviews. FML. I was complete at all my Texas schools in May......FML.......
Applied to a ton of OOS schools but no word from most of them except some pre-interview holds, a few rejections, and a few small pools....FML....AMCAS was done in late August. Most secondaries completed in early September.
So I have 3 DO II but only 1 MD II. I got rejected from BU and Meharry. I am seriously scared when Oct 15th rolls around, that i'll get 10 rejections from the other MD schools I applied to.
lol I was curious about the reasoning behind this as wellYou won't. You didn't interview at those places.

October 15 is the first day for ACCEPTANCES.

Really? I thought it was the day they sent out acceptances and rejections. That's good. I think. More waiting now I guess.
Fffffff me
Still 1 rejection 1 hold
25 schools- complete mid to late August
Average everythingggg, hatemylife.
You'll hear positively from some schools soon!![]()
I've had 9 junk emails come to my inbox today. The world is certainly torturing us. [100% first world problems]
I feel your pain. I'm generally spam free, but today my phone went off three times 🙁

HAHAHAHAHAI thought I was not susceptible to premed anxiety. Every new day without an II proves me wrong a little bit more.
I submitted primary on 6/2.
Verified by 6/5.
Applied to 30 schools. Submitted most secondaries by 7/15.
Committee letter put up on AMCAS by 7/19.
3.6 cum/sci GPA
34O MCAT
I would have expected at least 1 II by now. Nothing. WTF?
I was rejected via e-mail from U of Minnesota and Tulane (that was like a 1 month or 1.5 mo. ago). How are you guys getting rejected? Is it like, an email?
This week feels like a winner.
I feel like this every week. Yet every week remains quiet...🙁
I think you'll hear back from RFU/MCW. If you don't, I would be very surprised.
I would feel that way. I'd be the previously spurned ex-girlfriend whose guy is now banging on the door going, "I JUST WANT TO TALK," and I'll be like, "YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE!"
Hey all, this is my first post but I have been checking the website for a while. I have applied to 23 schools, several rejections so far and no interview yet. My stats are 28O and 4.0, I know the MCAT is pretty low but have good ECs I suppose: almost 3 years of research (Genetics), one poster presentation, 2.5 years of ER volunteer; more than 300 hours, some non-medical volunteer activities for 2 years, and an in press ophthalmology research publication. Should I be worried? Oh and I dont know if that counts at all, I have lived in the U.S. for less than 7 years and first generation to attend college. My MCAT distribution is 11/8/9 (dont know what happened to Bio section, I never scored below 12 on practice tests) and I am a Colorado resident. I have been complete at most schools early in August but nothing yet. Here is list of schools I applied to:
University of Colorado
University of California Irvine
Loma Linda
University of Arizona Tucson
Miller
Morasni South Florida
Creighton
Toledo
Meharry
University of Minnesota
NYU
Harvard
Johns Hopkins
University of Kansas
Arkansas
North Dakota
Howard
I'm sure you know schools like JHU, HMS, and NYU aren't going to forgive that 28 MCAT. You also applied to quite a few state schools and almost all schools out of your region.
