👍 You've got the right attitude. I've seen quite a few of your posts around and you seem fun. I think you'll get in somewhere!
 
It's bad that I'm kind of panicking even though I have some interviews, right? I don't think it will subside until I have one acceptance - at least at that point I know I'll be a doctor.

You're not alone man, 100% in agreement. Nothing in this world is guaranteed. I just stumbled across an mdapps from 2008 where this guy had 12 interviews, got waitlisted at 10 of them and accepted to 2. Now this guy was probably thinking "I got 12 interviews, ain't nothin but a peanut, what's the worst that could happen?" I know they say you only need 1, but damn...

Also, remember kpcrew? She had like 7 or 8 interviews and got waitlisted at every single one. She eventually got off the waitlist at SUNY Buffalo I think, but not until like June. Of course if her online persona is in any way related to her real life personality, then I can see that happening. But nevertheless, the possibility is out there 🙁

With that said. What's the worst that could happen? 😀

Well... all my UC interviews were TOUGH. Even at the ones that were "supposed" to be chill, I felt like I got grilled on some aspects of my application. My out of state interviews were a lot more relaxed though. I feel like they really don't want me to stay in CA lol.

Been to uci, ucsd. I think it's mostly my minding blanking at the worst times and bad luck with getting the more serious/strict interviewers than the other interviewees. You'll be fine though lol.

But yeah, that's why I don't think I'll ever be comfortable even if more interviews come in since I'm such a ****ty interviewer. :laugh:

+10000 You took the words right out of my mouth. My biggest fear is getting rejected/wait-listed at all 4 schools. Just give me one acceptance so I can relax the rest of this cycle.

CMU's was even worse. It was one sentence and had a typo in it.

I'm really panicking about the post-interview decision because it'll make or break the upcoming one.

(I've been complete for about a month now and only heard from 5 schools. I'm so glad I got an interview though, I just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket and feel like my entire future career is literally based on the outcome of one interview.)

Having been complete since late August, and with 1 II, 2 holds, and 1 rejection, is it time to start calling schools and sending them letters of interest? I'm still waiting on ~15 schools 😕 (<3.5 gpa, >34 mcat)

November has been a silent month, sighs.

All silent for me too and I was complete in early Sept. I'm definitely going to start concocting some LOI's after my round of midterms ends.

No, not depressing, lol, I mean it is motivation to get an A in biochemistry this semester rather than slacking off and getting a B.

Sandy happened, then the AAMC meeting in SF happened this week, and now there's all the snow from the "Nor'easter" (where do they come up with these names? And why do they put an accent on it?) so these past few weeks have likely been one big fustercluck for a lot of schools. Maybe movement toward the end of the week and next week.

Also, another Thursday, another empty inbox...:beat:

Although, something positive! This app cycle is going way better than I thought it would. I thought I was just going to get flat-out rejected on the spot from every school with my stats. Or at least, that's what SDN had told me since forever, lol.
 
So, so, so, so, so quiet...literally haven't heard anything since an II one month ago (well unless you count a hold status from one school as hearing something)...gahhhhh
 
waiting is terrible. nor'easter wasn't bad.
I feel like I've been forgotten.

I'm surprised that this even needs to be said. It's just common courtesy to not get your blood splatter on someone in these double suicide situations. 🙄

That was the rejection I was most sad about out of my 5- I will live vicariously through you!

Maybe someday I'll be big and strong and cool like Shaker and get invited to cool schools like Dartmouth. Congrats Shaker 😀👍

+1 But the wait....the wait is the worst part. I don't have a data plan on my phone to check my email, so whenever I step out the house it's usually like:
Restaurant- "Hey do you guys have WiFi?"
DMV- "Hey do you guys have WiFi"?
Walmart- "Hey do you guys have WiFi?"
Work- "Hey do we have WiFi?"
Friend's house- "Hey do you have WiFi?"
Gas station waiting in line- "Hey do you guys have Wifi?"

And the worst part is, if I don't check my email for more than 10 minutes. I swear I received an Email from some medical school 😱 Then rush home to see the same thing I see in my wallet everyday....NOTHING 👎
