I did everything right, got my secondary out as soon as I got it, and the reason my application is delayed is because they couldn't mark it complete? Because of their inefficiency, I get screwed?

I would have really liked to go to this school, but now that my application is complete all the way in October, my chances are lower because it was complete so late. 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

I think him and I are upset because it took two months to complete us, when some applicants submitted their secondaries in September and were complete in a week. I feel ya bro hopefully it doesn't hurt our chances.
 
^^^^^^ exactly but not only that What also pisses me off is when i would call askin if i should be expeccting a complete email, all they told me was "if you sent everything in then you are complete, some people get complete emails and some dont. Since i didnt get a complete emial and they told me that some people will get one but others wont, i just assumed i was conplete.

I can understand if they dont want to give ppl their statuses by phone because so many ppl would call, but at least give a definite yes or no that verified applications will get a complete email, don judt say we send it to some applicants and not others lol.....

Again, they are REALLY, REALLY busy people. If they said some people get a complete email and some don't, why worry about it? It doesn't sound like it affects your chances at all, so why does it matter? If you were going to get an interview invite, you were going to get one--if not, you weren't going to get one. I can't stress enough the importance of being patient. They are under no obligations to us whatsoever--not even a "complete email." We need to accept the process with patience, humility, and grace to those making decisions (for every school).

If I recall correctly, they interview about 600 people, and accept 2-300…
I wouldn't quote me on that. It was funny, because interviewers up to that point said that the interview essentially guaranteed an acceptance, but then they showed us completely different stats (regarding interviews vs acceptance) during the talk with the Assistant Dean of Admissions.

interviewed here today, seems like a great place! looking forward to hearing from them in the next few weeks!
 
I sent in my application August 6, and my final LOR was sent August 18... and still not complete. I'm In-State and I did my undergraduate at PSU, and still not even a complete email.

I'm sort of pissed too 🙁
 
FWIW I submitted my app 8/6. My letters were all in by July...just got the complete email today
 
The survey that they sent out feels like it's missing something. Maybe they forgot to add the hospital/campus name for each of the 1,2,3 slots?

It's the final test...those who pass shall be rewarded with an acceptance letter on 15th of this month. 😉
 
Just got a correction to the post-interview survey that fixed all the problems!
 
Anyone know if they reject post interview via snail mail or email? I don't want to get excited if I receive mail that's not an acceptance haha

Hmm....I completed that survey for clinical campus preferences the first time...it was confusing, but I had someone help me from admissions. Then they sent out the new survey, which makes much more sense. Do you think I could just complete the new survey and that will be used over the old responses?

I was under the impression that we are supposed to do it again...

I mean in either case, it probably won't hurt to submit again just to be sure as long as your answers are the same

Hm. Interviewed 10/1. Think there will be a decision by 10/15?

I guess I can always dream...

EDIT: Checked out last year's thread. Probably won't hear until late October/November. 🙁

Does anybody know if PSU provides an itinerary for interviewees? Also, is it ok to ask if they don't? Lol. Also does anybody know if the student housing thing has been worked out? If not what hotels do they recommend lodging at?

They give you and itinerary when you show up and there is one posted on their admissions website.

I stayed at the Days Inn Hershey and they have a special rate for interviewees. It was like $50 plus tax and is a 3 min drive from the med center.
 
We have sent around stuff for sayin with a current student but I'm not sure where it ended up because I live way off campus and therefore didn't sign up. Email Linda, she can let you know if we've set it up yet...
 
Do current students know if many are pulled to interview from the hold status? I got my letter this week but was really hoping to interview here.

I figure I'll just call. Man I'm so nervous! Really hoping for some love after my interview 🙂
 
I'm not sure of the stats but from being active on last years thread, I felt like there were definantly people who interviewed off hold later in the season.

They're prolly going to be stingy with off the bat acceptances this year because they over accepted last year and had to give like 5 people 2 year scholarships for those who would defer enrollment for a year in order to get the class to the right size (145)
 
What if you haven't received a rejection or hold letter but you submitted a while ago?

If it helps with the timeline:
Secondary submitted on 8/6.
Complete email on 9/27.
Hold letter (snail mail) on 10/11.
 
hmm...I submitted 8/9, was complete 8/14 and haven't heard anything yet (via email or snail mail) no news is good news hopefully

Did you get a complete email? And yes, with us no news is good news. Just means they haven't gotten to your app yet 🙂
 
Just got an II. Think I'm gonna turn it down... already accepted at schools higher on my list.
 
If you get invited for an interview, does the status on PSUonline say "Invited for an interview" or something of the sort?

Mine currently says this: "Our records indicate that your application is complete, and is currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee. You will be contacted by mail and/or phone during the next several weeks with its decision."

But I didn't get any email from them saying my app is complete.

No, mine still says that too and I got an II several weeks ago. But I did get a "complete" email from them a couple weeks before that.

Oh awkward....
Well my school changed emails like 2 weeks ago and I didn't update the email on my AMCAS until yesterday. What should I do?

My school f*cked me
