Well, looks like a wait-list for me. Shocked right now because I felt my interviews went really well, now I'm questioning every other interview I had.

same boat as you....this will be my thirst waitlist in one day

Did you guys get an email saying you're waitlisted? Or is this based on status / not having received an acceptance email?

It looks like I got waitlisted here as well.....from what I just read on their website I don't think they inform us of this status:

"Some candidates may be placed on the continuing candidate list after interview. An applicant’s placement on the continuing candidate list is confidential and will not be shared with the applicant."

That....that is odd 😕

Accepted!!! I absolutely LOVED this school. First acceptance! So excited!!

Oh my god. I'm going to be a doctor.

Had the correspondence sent status upate yesterday then acceptance email today so I guess that status does not always mean a waitlist!

What was your status before receiving the acceptance email? Was yours correspondence sent or interview complete?

PS -- Congratulations!!!

Still "Interview Complete." Gah. Come on, Temple... I really like you... :xf:

Thanks!

I got the correspondence sent yesterday, and now it has changed to accepted.

Best of luck to everyone else waiting to hear back and congrats to everyone else!!

Congratulations everyone!

If you are still at interview complete, it may just mean that your adcom interviewed hasn't had a chance to actually attend an admissions committee meeting yet. Try not to sweat it. Also, I'm pretty sure WL/continuing candidates will get an actual letter in the mail.

This is me being super neurotic, but out of those accepted, would anyone mind providing the date they were interviewed? I'm trying to get a sense of the timeline for the adcom review process... Thanks!

Anyone interview with Dr. Amanda Horn?

I interviewed the last week of september. Don't remember the date exactly. Good luck!

My status now says "Accepted", and when I click Explain this status it says "Congratulations and Welcome to the Class of 2015!" Didn't know Temple offered a 2 year MD program...😉

looks like a waitlist for me.

anyone get accepted with a status of interview complete?

does anyone know if they review waitlist people each round or only at the end? and how much movement is typical?

I'm not convinced that this status denotes a waitlist...everyone has had to have had this status at some point. More likely, if you still have this status, it probably just means this:

However, if you are in fact waitlisted, the website says this:

Students are notified of the Committee decision several weeks after the interview, but not before October 15 of the year before admission. Some candidates may be placed on the continuing candidate list after interview. An applicant’s placement on the continuing candidate list is confidential and will not be shared with the applicant.

Applicants placed on the continuing candidate list after interview will be considered after May 15th through Orientation in August. Each application cycle is unique and different so the number of students taken off the wait list varies from year to year. TUSM encourages applicants on the continuing candidate list to send letters of interest starting in May.

interesting...I wonder what it will say for a waitlist since they say they won't notify those that are waitlist. or continuing students as they call it.

thanks for the info.

I really find it hard to believe people aren't told if they're waitlisted.. I know they sent out letters last year for it.

Ya I'm pretty sure when someone quoted earlier that the waitlist is confidential, it is actually referring to your position on the waitlist and not just whether or not you are on the waitlist.

This. In the quote from the website above, I think placement = position.

If you get invited for an interview, does the status on TempleMedOnline say "Invited for an interview" or something of the sort?

It will say interview scheduled after you schedule, but you should get a pretty quick email if you are invited.

does anyone else still say interview complete?? what does it mean?? at what point does it become appropriate to reach out to the admissions committee to ask what it means?

I don't care if I'm waitlisted...I just want to knowwww.

I am in your position as well. I am thinking of calling as well but can't today as I will am at work all day. If you do call let us know what that status means and if we will be notified of a waitist.

What does yours say when you click on explain status? Mine said interview complete: under review with our office" or something like that right before I got my correspondence sent status. Maybe they are just still reviewing your app for whatever reason. Judging by older threads, they will let you know you are waitlisted as soon as they reach that decision.

Yah that's what my status says. It just seems odd that they wuld be still reviewing mine since I interviewed at one of the earliest times and people that interviewed after have already goten a decision. Though I hope that's the case :xf:

Yeah I interviewed on the first interview date. I'm somewhat relieved that there's someone else on the same boat although we have no idea of knowing whether it's a good or a bad boat to be on...

Called them. They have a automated msg saying that thy cannot help us with our statuses. We have to wait until it is updated online.

As to when the adcom meets, I think I remember them saying every other Friday.

Hey guys,
I just got my II ... would anybody say something about the interview ... Did you spend 30 minutes per interview or less?

I spent about 50 mins with faculty and 20 mins with student. Though some of the other students had strict 30 mins time slots since interviews were back to back. Pretty relaxed day overall, students are very nice and welcoming. The interview question section was helpful. Oh and the student interview is blind but the faculty one they have all your info.

Student interview is pretty much all conversational, slightly based around your clinical experiences. Faculty is very conversational as well, but be ready to answer why Temple, some problems with health care, and stuff on your AMCAS.

Overall very relaxed interview day at an awesome school. Enjoy, and congrats.

Hey I recently interviewed at St. Luke's and WOW!! This place easily shot to my number one! Everyone is so excited about the program. They show it in everything they do! There were like 7 students that came in to chat with us. They then took us the tour of the "school" and hospital. the school is just two floors of a small building, but thats all they need bc there are only 30 students in the class. The reason they still have year one at temple is for the anatomy labs. Eventually they want to expand the school to the new campus they have which in another location, but that probably won't be for a number of years. I never really considered all the positives of such a small class size, because most schools don't have it! Once they went through some of the advantages, like knowing your attendings and so on, I was sold! I am so so excited about this program! In addition, my interviewers really impressed me. There were two: one faculty (open file) and one student (closed file). My faculty interview was a bit short cuz they were running late, but it wasnt a problem. We could have sat for another hour talking probably. And the student interview was about that, an hour. We actually were the last ones in the building. I was really impressed by the questions my faculty interviewer asked. They were thoughtful and related to my file and where I want to go in the future. I thought my interviews were relaxed in the past, but wow. These were def. the most relaxed. There was one question that caught me a little off guard. How I would describe myself and then an example of that. But even when I had to think for a minute, I felt comfortable and he was really receptive to all of my answers! Yay for St. Luke's!!

anyone who interviewed go from interview complete to correspondence sent today?
