Congratulations to the new crop of acceptances! 😀
That's what I'm not sure about. People who have 'correspondence sent' tend to get an email saying that they've been accepted, and they tend to get the email shortly after that, before 5 weeks from their interview date. People who still have 'interview complete' after 4 ish weeks tend to get a waitlist letter in the mail. That's why I think I'll get a waitlist letter pretty soon.

Yea. Pretty sure that's how it works

So a post-interview status of "correspondence sent" = acceptance? Has anyone's status been "correspondence sent" before the waitlist?
It sure seems that way. I'm not sure about getting that before the waitlist. I'm sure there have been cases of that happening, but if there are they're uncommon. I'm kinda depressed about this. If waitlisted, I probably won't find out if I'm in until May, and even then I probably won't get my campus choice (which is Temple hospital) for 3rd and 4th year. This really sucks.
Dear Temple,
Did you really just send me an e-mail telling me to apply to your podiatry program? How about you take a look at the app I've already sent you? 😡
Yours, Procyon
Seriously. 3+ months without any communication, and then they send a podiatry advertisement

Luckily the subject line said "medical career" so I wasn't completely trolled. Also I think I'm a little skeptical of every email after the great Columbia Basset invitation incident.

To all you guys getting these acceptances/wait lists....is this for the main campus? I interviewed the 23rd but at one of the other campuses, and they told us it would be much longer than 3-4 weeks before we hear anything.
I believe a letter will come in the mail telling us the campus. Been checking the mail every day hoping it to be the main campus!

Let me rephrase that...for those of you accepted, at what campus did you interview at?
for you specifically, I'm guessing it was main campus 🙂. Congrats by the way.
I interviewed at st lukes Oct 16. Still no word!! Interview complete status
if you don't mind telling us, when were you complete and what are your stats?
Thanks!

I just received my acceptance letter in the mail, but it says "This acceptance is for the Temple and affiliates clinical campus. You will have the opportunity to experience your year 4 electives at Temple or at any of our clinical campus or affiliate sites."
It didn't specify the clinical campus I will be at. Did anyone get the same thing in their acceptance letter? or does it say specifically which campus you will be at for your 3rd year?

My acceptance letter (which came last week) also says "This acceptance is for the Temple and affiliates clinical campus." I'm pretty sure it means we can choose whatever clinical campus we want come 3rd year.I just received my acceptance letter in the mail, but it says "This acceptance is for the Temple and affiliates clinical campus. No Temple and affiliates clinical campus is the main university hospital in North Phila across the street from MERB (the building that the interviews are held)
What are specific reasons one might get wait listed instead of accepted even if one gave a strong interview showing?
I believe that sometimes they kind of know which pile they want to put you in, even before you interview. At another school, my interviews went so well that both interviewers all but told me I would be accepted...but I got waitlisted lol! So their strong support did not sway the inevitable decision.

It is so interesting how small differences there can be between waitlisted and 1st time accepted candidates. Oh lord.... competition

Is interviewing in January considered late here? I had to reschedule from my Nov. date due to work conflicts.

Depends on the school but for most its mid cycle. If you can't make it, you cant, so I wouldn't worry about it anymore. Its not that much of a difference, IMO.
so i interviewed in early september
and was under review until recently (11/12) and got an acceptance email
just so you guys know that
being under review doesn't mean that you're waitlisted!!!
🙂
Okay, well I think we all already knew that....

did you mean to say that your status said "interview complete" and then you got accepted? (if you click on interview complete it then says your app is under review with the office or something)

Hello everybody!...
I'm from California, and got accepted to TUSM about a week or so, ago. I was wondering if there was anyone on this thread who is a current student, preferably a 2-4 yr student with a little more time and experience at the school (but a 1st year response is great too!!), who could tell me about their experience being a med student at Temple. And honest synposis with more personal anecdotes are the best!
Thanks a lot! If you can, please get in touch!!

Accepted! I just interviewed last week so I'm surprised they told me already...my status still says interview complete btw so I guess that has no bearing on the waitlist vs. correspondence sent?
