The number of ds that do not accept CC credit, that recommend taking prereqs at a four-year college/university or qualify the need to take additional upper division courses has increased dramatically over the last few years. For those who do not have an alternative, it is advisable to take courses that are designed for science/engineering/pre health (except nursing, dh) and that the courses are transferable to a 4 year college. Not much needs to be said about AP credits.

wow Ghosts(doc) do exist.

I was hoping to take A&P at a local CC to save on time, money, and to have the ability to learn within a cadaver-based lab... now I'm not so sure of my decision.

If you can find a CC that offers A/P with a "cadaver-based lab" then take it, since you are likely to have a difficult time finding a major university (not affiliated with a med school/ds) that will have cadavers at their disposal.

That was my main reasoning behind taking such a course at a community college (it is the only local institution with any cadavers, let alone 4). But most of the schools I wish to attend may not allow a science pre-req to be taken at a "CC". I don't want to become an exception to a rule even though I may definitely benefit from it.

Also, I completed my first two-years of college work (all my GER's and a few required science courses such as intro bio/intro chem) at a community college. So I do not know how it would look returning back to a CC after getting my 4-year degree at a university, maybe like I took the easy route? With 90 transferable CC credits I think that would put me beyond most limits set by DS's.

So if I took almost all of my pre-reqs at a CC, how would it look to retake them at a 4 year? Would they consider it equal to someone who took the pre-reqs their first time at a university?
