I did not apply to this site but the general consensus for Phase I is not to count yourself out of the running until you receive a rejection. Sites have to let you know one way or the other in Phase I and a lot of sites seem to do rolling interviews. So, while I know it's easier said than done, take a deep breath and don't feel rejected until you actually are notified you are! (or the deadline for them to contact you has passed and you still haven't heard anything, then contact them and bug them!)

University of Mississippi Medical Center interview invitation via email (11/15). Email does not specify dates, but asks to contact office manager to schedule. Will update when I find out more info.

Did you happen to notice if it was a mass email or an individualized one? This is one of my sites and I'm holding out hope that I'll still get an invite!

I received the UMMC one as well - it wasn't a BCC but was clearly a generic invite. They have multiple tracks though so don't despair - its possible not all tracks have made decisions at this point (I applied to the Addictions one) and even then they may do rolling invites and this is just the first batch based on what order the applications were in after someone dropped them down a flight of stairs, how fast the individuals assigned to review your application got around to it, etc.. This goes for the other ones posted that have multiple tracks too - it seems incredibly common for these to go out at different times and it is still incredibly early in the process. I'm actually surprised this many sites have already gotten to it since I was expecting most sites not to even look at them for at least a couple more weeks.

Thanks for the calming thoughts! I know that even places with one track can sometimes send out invites in batches, but it's hard to extend that knowledge into actual calmness! Heh. You'd think, being a therapist, that I could put my own advice into practice. Clearly, you'd be wrong.

Thanks for the congrats - this was the first, though I have at least a few others I'm reasonably confident I will be invited to attend. Waiting on the first one was aggravating just because until this arrived I had a nonsensical nagging fear in the back of my head that despite receiving all confirmations, my application was not actually submitted due to a technical error and thus would never be seen. Now - back to the dissertation and manuscripts!
