I believe you are right. In past years CHOP held interview invitations until all tracks were ready (on or very near the deadline) and last year made a change so invitations were extended on a track-by-track basis (reflected in last year's various release dates).
 
Woohoo! Interview at UCSD/VA! Received voicemail on 12/4, interviewing on 1/6. I applied to 3 positions...not sure which they're interviewing me for yet, but my rankings were 1) VA Behavioral Medicine: Pain and Weight Control and VA Mood-Sleep Clinic, 2) VA Behavioral Medicine: Spinal Cord Injury and UCSD Pain Clinic, and 3) VA TBI Cognitive Rehabilitation Clinic and VA North County PTSD Clinic.

I am waiting to hear from the behavioral health integration track at CHOP. Nothing yet.

This is my first time applying and I am perplexed by students getting offers for interviews or rejections at places I applied and I'm not hearing anything from them at all. Any idea what is going on with this? Is it normal for them to send out acceptances/rejections to some people and nothing to others? Should I be worried by this? I don't get it.

People have spoken of a mythical "maybe" pile or "interview waitlist"... you might be on it at those sites.
 
Interview invite: University of Memphis Counseling Center received 12/4/13 via phone call.
It looks like they are doing invites in waves since some people said they received calls yesterday too.

Got my UCSD/VA invite via voicemail, no confirmation which tracks I'm interviewing for yet but I applied to 1) VA B Med/ Burn & Cancer, 2) UCSD Pain/ VA SCI, 3) VA Pain & Weight/ VA Mood & Sleep
 
Still nothing from Appalachian State University & Texas Tech University Counseling Centers. I think I'm giving up today. Very quiet day for me! Hopefully tomorrow will be a loud one! 🙂
 
I haven't heard from Texas Tech either! Are they supposed to get back to us this week? I think their page says the 15th but could be wrong. Another day and still silence. It's still business hours on the west coast so I'm not giving up tonight quite yet.
 
I don't know if anybody posted this yet but OhioGuidestone sent theirs via personal invite email on Dec 2.

I figured they would let us know early since the on-site interview dates are for: 12/13, 1/3, and 1/10.... 12/13 is next week!

Whew! Had to sweat it out for four hours, but ultimately got an interview at UCSD/VA, too! I applied for the Eating Disorder/BMed and Eating Disorder/Outpatient tracks.

I heard from them about an hour ago, but when I talked to the admin assistant a minute ago she sounded very busy with phone calls (though very nice) so I think interviews might still be going out today. Fingers crossed! And BTW- congrats on the awesome interviews you've gotten in the last couple of days!

Yeah, I got the impression that every time she went to call someone new the phone rang with someone calling back to tell her what dates they wanted!
 
Mass rejection email from San Francisco VA. This was one of my top sites, so I'm a little sad but not overly surprised -- they're super competitive.

Jeez! I didn't realize! You've done your research better than I have. 🙂 At this rate I'd have to take a skype interview, but my adviser says it's always better to go in person if you can. Hopefully they will let me take a later date if they wait much longer to respond!!!

Congrats! I was really hoping to interview there...Hopefully I'm not out of the running entirely!
 
Haven't heard from Hines either...but they seemed to be sending out the emails late at night so maybe we could still get something! Would be a nice treat before going to bed!
 
or... maybe they are getting a few done before calling it quits until tomorrow? God I hope so!
