... I have not heard from a site, but some have received an invitation for an interview and some have received a rejection... where does that leave me

Many others are in the same position; the prevailing wisdom is that if you haven't yet heard from a site, you're very possibly still in the running. Not all sites notify all applicants at the same time, and related to that, some sites have the equivalent of "yes," "no," and "maybe" piles for interview invites. Just based on my own personal experience (a few years ago), I interviewed with folks who, after I'd already visited a handful of sites, had only just recently heard back from them with offers.
To your other question: if your application shows up as "complete" on APPIC, then odds are it wasn't/isn't lost.
I haven't. I applied to a new track... not sure if that makes a difference.

I am still waiting on 19. Only one notification this week so far. My anxiety has reached entirely unprecedented levels...

3 interviews, 2 actual rejections, 2 unsure, and waiting on 8 more... although some of those sites have much later notification dates, with one even that said December 24th.
well lets remember, at least we know we are solid maybes for sure haha

Received an offer to interview at the Devereux Institute of Clinical Training and Research. Interview dates are January 8, 10, 15, 17, and 22nd. The email was generic. I applied for the Devereux Center for Effective Schools.
I made this wish for everyone yesterday and then I received 4 notifications....the three rejects did not sting at all after I received an invitation from my top pick! I am still waiting to hear from 22 more sites.
This wish! (see above) I replied to both the statement and the question made by grenas. (still having my wake-up coffee.)
Waiting on 20 sites, all UCCs. 4 interviews so far, 2 rejections.
Waiting on 22 more, all UCCs. 2 rejections, 1 interview, and a partridge in a pear tree so far.
Waiting on 11 still 🙂 I have a growing feeling I will still be waiting for a few next Friday, i.e. some sites will still be sending out their interviews/rejections on Monday the 16th. SERENITY NOW!

I wished everyone the same thing yesterday and I received two invites! LOL I am feeling great with my 5 interview invites and no rejections. Waiting on 13 more....if a rejection come my way today, I am OK with that.

I am waiting on 10 sites...I have a feeling I will hear from all (or almost all) of them next week.
Has anyone heard recently from MGH or McLean? They seemed to have sent out invites awhile ago so I am wondering if I am out of the running.
I saw that MGH sent out invitations a while ago, and I haven't heard anything either. Fingers crossed that they will notify the rest of the pile today...
...and of course, we are leaning toward good news 🙂
I'm only waiting on four, with two more that have sent out invites but might be doing rolling invites, and two more that have sent out invites that probably aren't doing rolling invites.
Has anyone had trouble receiving date confirmation from the Bay Pines VA?
Not specifically with Bay Pines but I notified my site when they hadn't confirmed my date after 5 days. I have heard stories of emails getting lost/overlooked, so I just sent a friendly email and then the site sent me my date that afternoon.

I had a similar issue...but with Bay Pines specifically. I also just sent a friendly reminder and got my confirmation the next day.
I think I need a little advice. I received an invite on 11/25 asking me to confirm one of two dates for interview and provide some other information. The email said that the person to contact would be in during the week of Dec. 2nd to answer any questions. I replied on 11/25 and wasn't worried when I didn't receive a return email because I thought this person was out of the office. I called on Tuesday (12/3) and left a message.... and have called somewhat obsessively since... but have heard nothing. Yesterday I called and left a similar message for the training director... still nothing. I'm trying to schedule other interviews and make travel plans and I'm just not sure what to do next with this site.
I'm in the same boat as you guys. Still waiting/hopeful about MGH and McLean.
It's still not really clear to me if sites have to tell us something. Or if for some we will never get a reply. I'm looking forward to the day that I do not obsessively check my email.
Rejection from Southern Illinois University. Very polite email. The training director indicated that they accidentally sent offers to some people they intended to reject. I did not receive an offer, thankfully--I had that happen last year that a site offered me an interview and then took it back because they realized they had offered too many interviews and it felt HORRIBLE.

It sounds like you've done everything you can do. I know it sucks waiting and this whole process is anxiety provoking, but at this point it seems like all you can do is wait and give them a chance to respond. I'm sure the site is stressing out trying to organize everyone, but not as much as we are stressing out 😉

There was one post yesterday or the day before (can't remember) about a friend getting rejected from MGH.. so now I am even more confused
