I have a question about staying with a grad student. Is it okay to stay at their place for 2 nights ? Or do most people just stay there for 1 night max?

Yes. It has recently been changed. At application time the POI was taking I student and I verified that. I called in the hope that it was a mistake. Wasn't. The website listing is now current according to department.

This happened to me two times last year! But in those instances at least the POI had the courtesy to email me.

I feel like they should refund when this decision was made after application deadline : (

I think so, but you should be happy that you won't have to work with such an irresponsible person for the next five or so years of your life!

I asked the same thing to the grad student at Louisville who is organizing stays with grad students for interviewees. She said that 2 nights is not a problem.

Yeah, usually there is some kind of pre-interview/welcome reception/dinner/thing the night before your interview. Then you usually stay with somebody overnight. Then you have interviews the next day. Then there might be some kind of post-interview social. By that time it's kind of late to be flying, so staying two nights isn't unusual at all.
 
Just a heads up: University of Memphis should be sending official, in-person interviews either sometime today, Monday, or Tuesday. Good luck to all who applied there!

Does anyone know much about the program at Sam Houston State? I read that invites are sent out mid-December last year and this year it would appear. Is that the only shot? If I haven't heard should I give up hope?
 
I just saw on the TGC results that someone posted that they had received an invite to Northwestern Feinberg yesterday. Does anyone know if any invites for the Behavioral Medicine track for the clinical psych program at Feinberg have gone out?

I applied to Auburn, but have not heard anything back yet from them, nor have I seen anything post here or on TGC.

I typically accepted if they offered lodging for more than two nights but otherwise booked a hotel for the second night, which was more typical (six interviews last year, didn't like my program so I'm at it again). It will most likely depend on your specific student host - you may want to email him/her individually and ask if it would be okay.
