For those who have received interview invites, where exactly on that application page was the interview noted?
 
Potentially a dumb question, but what did you guys put for application type on the secondary? All I see are Graduate Programs or Medicine-Transfer.

I found out about my interview via an email they sent me. It had a link that directed me to the page where you schedule what day you want from the available choices.
 
Is stats definitely needed for this school? I'm a math minor, so I took several math classes, just never any stats...It would suck if I can't apply for that one reason...😕
 
Is there any possible way for you to take it? Schools are getting so many applicants that they'll screen you out for not having a required course.

Did it take anyone longer than one week to be marked complete? Have everything in, but have not gotten the complete email...

So I called admissions about this, and they told me to ignore the username/login stuff they sent me in an email. Instead, use your AMCAS ID with an A in front of it, and your birthday in MMDDYYYY format as your pin.
 
II! I was just casually checking all my app statuses and found this one.. I never got an email.. will I lose my interview spot through the registration system if I didn't get an email yet?

IS. Reapplicant. Complete Aug 2nd

Right under processed applications, it says "Congratulations on being selected for an interview!"

Then below that you can pick a date. I picked a date last night and then this morning it went away.. guess you just have to wait for the email like everyone said. I checked and the date I picked is still available so I signed up for it again.. I'll do so until it stays, want an early as possible interview.
 
How long did it take them to send the secondary via email? I was verified by AMCAS last Friday but have yet to get this secondary.

I'm complete and under "application preference" I see "Not entered". Are you guys seeing something different?
 
I was just wondering if anyone knew if I rewrite the MCAT August 28th, will my application be on-hold until they get the results in October?
 
II today! I checked the website. I guess I have to wait for the email to choose my interview date.

II as well, I haven't gotten the official email, but it let me pick a date (hopefully it worked?!)

IS, complete 08/02 GPA > 3.9 MCAT 35, very excited!

EDIT: the date doesn't stay until the email, mine just disappeared

Congrats!! I picked a date too but someone earlier in this thread said he picked a date before the email but the next day when he checked the website the reservation was gone.

Yup, that happened to me too - I chose a date yesterday, and today it says I haven't scheduled yet.
 
applying here with a 3.45 and 36 MCAT. Hoping to have some luck! You guys think I have any chance with those numbers?
 
Hey guys.

I was wondering: does anyone know if interviews start on Wed Sept 4th? Also, does anyone have interview on Monday 9th or 16th of September? I don't see any blue boxes around those dates in the schedule system(indicating those are available for interview appointment), and I wonder whether that's because these dates have been taken or no interview is available at those dates.

Also, does anyone know approximately how many people are interviewed per day?

I don't know when it appeared on the website exactly , but I discovered the status page update last Wednesday and the official email came in last night!
 
Got the email last night and scheduled for 9/11. Anyone going from NYC and would be interested in carpooling?
 
I just received an interview offer this morning at around 9 am.

I submitted my secondary on July 30th, but my file was not complete until August 9th, since one of my last letters took forever to get in.

If anyone cares about my stats:

Graduated Stony Brook University August 2007, 3.63 cGPA, 3.49 sGPA
First MCAT taken July 2008 (9/11/11) (don't remember writing section, sorry!)
Retake April 2013 (11/11/11)

I worked full time in cancer research from August 2007 until August 2011. My name is in 4 publications, not first author though. I also recently completed my Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Did you guys go into detail about the specialty you plan to pursue or just a brief response is fine? I noticed there's no character limit.

I didn't go too into depth. I listed the various professions I had shadowed and said which appealed to me most and why.
 
I had all 5 of my AMCAS letters sent to them. I don't remember if you can specify on the secondary which letters you specifically are submitting to upstate, but, if that option is available, list your most important letters so the committee is sure to focus on them. If you send more than that, the worst they will do is ignore the others.
 
II via checking the online status! No e-mail yet though.

Is it the general consensus that we should wait to receive the e-mail before scheduling the interview (because otherwise, the system will drop you)?

Just checked my status page online and was surprised with an II. Earliest date is Sept 4th. 3.65 GPA 32 MCAT IS
