15 applications turned in; I'm happy. Next up: what's the consensus: do I deactive my facebook profile until interviews are over, or is that a tad extreme? Also one site instructs you to set up an visit after turning in the application. Seems a tad gung-ho to do that today. Do I wait until at least after the application deadline to do that? I know there are no definite answers- just looking for advice.
Most clinical psych folks I know (including myself) keep their Facebook privacy settings fairly high anyway. If you're taking reasonable precautions to keep clients from finding/seeing your Facebook profile, I wouldn't see a reason to go beyond that for training directors. If you use the "view as" setting on your profile, you can see how much of your Facebook profile is visible to the public. Make sure to check your profile and cover photos, as those are public by default.
