2013 APPIC Internship Application Thread

Hi People. I got an interview at MGH for the child track on January 9 but now I also have an interview at Children's National in DC. Children's National is refusing to change the date. Can anyone switch their MGH date with me? I think the other one in January 15. Or does anyone want to trade Chidlren's National Dates? Thanks!
Sorry to hear it. Has anyone else heard from Yale SOM Consultation Track one way or the other?

Congrats to everyone who received an interview today..and a rejection too. Because at least you can cross them off of your list and move forward. We still have another week to go so...do a lot of self-care and stay motivated. All you need is one!
Generic e-mail with 3 dates: Jan 7, 10, and 14. You call to schedule which interview you prefer. Start calling NOW, the phone line is busy and it took me nearly 30 minutes to get through.

Also just as an FYI - I applied to 15 sites have been rejected by 9 and got interviews for 2. The interviews were for my top site and another highly competitive site that I thought I was less well matched for. This process is crazy making! Crazy making!

It's med and general; I'm not sure if it's neuro though.

It was personalized with my name, but it seemed to be a form letter.
It is a bummer, but I thoroughly plan to use cuteoverload.com as therapy until I receive my next rejection.

Phone call invitation from Texas A&M CC. Onsite or telephone interviews. Onsite/open house dates 1/7 and 1/11.
When? I am waiting on them as well.

I'm sorry to hear. I'm in your same situation-- 8 rejections, no interviews. Two of my remaining sites have already notified people of interviews (I'm cautiously optimistic that I still have a chance) and there's really only one or two sites left that I feel like I have a real shot at. I would be so happy if I could just get one interview. Good luck to you, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

My first THREE responses were rejections; I was flipping out. Fortunately, I'm now almost breaking even, with 6 rejects and 5 interviews, and several more to hear from.
But yeah, I went almost a week with nothing but 3 rejections taunting me. It was hoooooorrible.
Oh wow. My first was a rejection and then I got some... is it common for a site to call interviewees on multiple days? It seems like all the dates given for last year were just one date.
