Last year, we got the Boston Consortium invites one day after the stated notification date. Just wanted to spread the word to anyone who's watching their inbox like a hawk 🙂
 
Generic email invitation. Two interview dates, 1/11 and 1/14. I believe I submitted my application on 11/9
 
Personalized email invitation at University of Minnesota Medical School on 11/28. Interview dates are 1/4 or 1/11.
 
Aspera, I thought I saw that you had an invite from Upstate -- when did you submit that application?

Forgot to add that the email included a survey link to request an interview date (as described in their brochure).

Hi All,

I am sadly unable to make it to the January 11th Cornell interview date (I took an hour to respond to the email yesterday, which unfortunately meant I had already missed the January 10th openings).

Would anyone who is scheduled for a January 10th interview at Cornell be willing to switch with me (and interview on Friday, January 11th instead)?

I am really hoping I don't have to forfeit my interview.

Please let me know!

Phone call invite today (11/28) to interview at James Quillien VA (TN) 😀, offered 1/4 in addition to the other dates already listed.
 
Hey all!

It looks like the anxiety continues to flow even after I got an invitation. Congratulations again to everyone, and good luck to those still waiting!

I am looking into travel plans for my interview at Creighton on January 11 and the open house on the 10 (through the Nebraska Internship Consortium) and was wondering if anyone else was attending who might like to split the cost of a hotel room and rental car. I don't have all the details on the open house just yet, but I was thinking of flying in on the 9 or early January 10 to make both events. I'm anticipating these trips to get very expensive, as they did for my grad school applications, and I'm looking to cut costs where I can. Private message me if interested.

Walter Reed for the Army--interview December 3rd
BAMC -- Interview December 7th
Tripler-- Interview January 9th

I have received one rejection from the Cincinnati VA, though I see that has already made the list.

Phone interview invite to Long Island Jewish - Neuropsychology Track. Phone call 11/14. Interview on January 2nd.

Hi Intuitive27, congrats on your interviews! Do you mind me asking when you heard from Tripler? e-mail or phone call? Did you apply as a civilian or military? Thank you!
 
CONGRATS everyone on your interviews so far. I have received three rejections so far and no invites. I am trying to remain positive, but it is very hard!
 
Stooge, so helpful to know that you are in the same boat -- I think I submitted the same day!
 
On November 14th I received a general email stating that they had received my info, etc. and would be contacting military applicants in November and December about phone interviews. I immediately responded stating that if offered, myself and another military applicant wanted to travel to Hawaii for the interview. Tripler responded the same day stating that the dates for in person interview would be January 10th-17th (they ended up offering an interview the 9th) and to let them know as soon as possible if we would be present so they could assign us a time slot. So it was pretty much all set up within a day or two of then.

I have yet to hear anything about civilian positions. I am sorry.

All contact has been by email so far.

I applied to Tripler as a civilian applicant and just received an email yesterday stating that they received my complete application (which I submitted Nov 1st) and that they would notify me sometime in December regarding interviews.

Thank you so much! And again congrats on the interview, Tripler is definitely one of my top sites but I think they are taking a little longer with the civilians...

LOL That's amazing, thank you for that! I'll be singing that for the rest of this process. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL ME?! I haven't heard a word in a week! +pity+
 
First rejection, and it hurt more than I thought it would. Personalized email sent today at about 3pm. Keeping my chin up for other sites and an invitation to interview somewhere. 18/19 notifications to go. Meanwhile, it feels like naptime. -HB
 
Just received a generic rejection email from Central Arkansas VA and Houston VA today. I'm on a roll.

Me too! I took the survey to specify my preferred interview dates, but I am thinking I should email them as well to confirm I filled out the survey and just send a "thank you"? Has anyone else done this?

Do you know if it was a mass email... I know people received an interview mass email but I havn't been rejected yet...

I also got what appeared to be a mass email rejection for the Central Arkansas VA today. Or it was a generic email, anyways, addressed to "undisclosed recipients."

Hmm... I havn't received anything... I know people have gotten interview invitations too... I am starting to become concerned that my application may have been lost...
