Someone in my program has gotten an invite from them, so I know they sent at least some out. But I have no idea what the dates are or if they're still sending out more invites.

Rejection from San Bernardino County Mental Health, adult track. Generic email stating that they got around 200 apps for 6 slots (about twice as many as last year). They were one of my "safety" sites and I got interviews at much more competitive places. Weird. But I'm happy about it, as I wasn't sure I really wanted to go there anyway.

Now at 8 interviews; 8 rejections; waiting to hear back from:

Mt. Sinai Services (Elmhurst)
Lincoln Medical (notification date of Jan. 15?? 😕)
Multicultural Psychology Internship Program of Massachusetts (deadline Dec. 31)
Ancora
 
I'm still waiting on Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Neuro Track; anyone else still waiting on this site?
 
Interview invitation to West Virginia University's counseling center in Morgantown. Scheduling via GenBook for numerous days and times in December and January. So exciting!!!

I received an interview invitation on Wed, Dec 12 at 1:00EST. Phone and on-site interviews are Jan 9 and 23.
 
Loma Linda School of Medicine offered interviews for Jan 16 and 22; I am already scheduled for another interview on the 16th but the 22nd is full for Loma Linda. If anyone is interested in swapping days so that I can attend the Loma Linda interview on the 22nd that would be amazing! Please let me know if you are interested!!

I submitted my application very late to them when I applied last year, like a day before or the day of their application deadline. I heard back from them- rejection- on December 19th.

I'm also waiting to hear from South Arkansas Regional Health Center. Anyone heard anything from them?
 
Received 6 interviews at 4 sites and I am glad to be finished with this part of the process. For those that did not receive any interviews I will keep you in my prayers! There is still a couple more hours to get some information. Remember you only need ONE! It has been awesome checking this thread frantically for the last three weeks and feeling that I am not in this process alone. See y'all on the other side!!!
 
When did you hear from LLUSM? I know they've sent out at least two batches of rejections...but I haven't heard either way yet!

When did you hear from LLUSM? I know they have sent out at least 2 batches of rejections..but I haven't heard from them yet!

I wonder how many of us will see each other on interviews but we'll never know because the site is anonymous. That's an interesting thought.

My heart goes out to you all who haven't gotten interviews. This whole process stinks and makes me wish I was born 20 years ago, when things weren't so difficult. :cry:
 
I am still waiting to hear from South Arkansas Regional Health Center, California State University Fullerton Counseling Center, The University of Washington Tacoma Counseling Center, and the University of Memphis Counseling Center. They have today as a notification deadline and not a peep. I am also waiting to hear from a couple other sites that have notification dates later in the month the University of Houston Clear Lake and the University of Montana. Being a pessimist after the emotional roller coaster of this wrenching process, I expect rejections from all of them. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.
 
I can't seem to get any other work done as I'm waiting to hear from this last internship site. I should be entering data, but I just keep hitting refresh for this website and my email. Not healthy, folks!

Even if it is likely a no, might be a good idea to send an email. I just keep thinking about a friend of mine last year who checked with a site a day after the deadline and they were surprised she didn't get the message that she was invited for an interview. If you are expecting a rejection anyways, you have nothing to lose!
 
Anyone hear from FMC-Lexington today? Kaiser - Walnut Creek? VA Canandaigua? Central Texas / Rockdale?
 
How many people are still waiting on sites? I am waiting on 5, and 3 of those had Dec 15 deadlines. I am assuming that if we haven't heard by the deadline it is a bad sign, but I don't know what to think.

I was just wondering if anyone had heard back from Geisinger re: the Adult track. The Master List only lists invitations for the Child track, and I haven't seen the Adult track mentioned.

I'm waiting on one site that so far no one else has heard from, so I'm not making assumptions yet. If others had heard from a site I was waiting to hear from, then I might think they may not contact all of their applicants.

I was surprised - I was contacted by all the sites I applied to (aside from the last one). Last year I didn't hear from several of them. Mind you, too many of them were "no gos".
 
Received email rejections from San Bernardino Country and CSU Northridge UCC. The stinky part is that I interviewed at CSUN last year!! Now I have more experience, especially more experience that is relevant for a college counseling center, and don't get an interview????

This process is so confusing...

Only waiting on one more site, U San Francisco

It is definitely odd that the theme this year appears to be if you interviewed at a site last year, didn't match, made yourself more attractive this year yet weren't offered an interview. 😕

As previously applicants usually got interviewed the following year. This process is truly more confusing as each day passes! 😱

Last year there were close to 4500 applicants, with over 1000 not matching. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that there are 5000 this year! :wow:

And although APPIC recommends 15 applications per applicant; it appears that most people on this thread at least applied to more, more like 20-25-30... And then sites are getting swamped with applications that they can't be reading thoroughly, so their choices/rejections are... interesting... :smack:

But until they fix the internship imbalance it will continue to get worse! :boom:

I'm pretty sure my friend was notified of an invite to Geisinger as her first interview on I think November 14th. I'm not sure what tracks are available, but she definitely would not have applied to a child track, probably adult.

Got an email offer to interview, followed by an email rejection, followed by a note saying that I WAS going to be offered an interview but they changed their minds. WTH?!
 
So are you going to get an interview? I received a rejection then a clarification email. I was like okay..... maybe I dodged a bullet... LOL JK

They said if I got an offer AND rejection it meant a rejection. I emailed anyway to clarify, just to be 100% positive. Super annoying, getting my hopes up like that.

I got an invite to the adult track on Nov as well...
 
Surprised to receive an email at this time of the night on a weekend, but got a rejection from Cal State Northridge - glad to at least hear though.

14 interviews, 9 rejections, waiting on 2.

UCLA will send out invites/rejections Monday. No clue when Kaiser - LA will contact.

If it makes you feel any better, I got an interview with them last year then couldn't make it due to weather (my connecting flight literally circled the runway for 30 minutes but was unable to land due to the snow and had to return to Minneapolis). I contacted the site and they begrudgingly offered me a phone interview... Then it turns out a cohort of mine was there in-person interviewing that day and staff implied phone interviews wouldn't be weighed as heavily as in-person interviews! :lame: The guy from my cohort also didn't even end up ranking the site because he said he got a "weird vibe" from it lol not sure what that means but I was really unimpressed with how my situation was handled and ended up emailing the site saying thanks but no thanks regarding a phone interview.

Regarding sites, I still haven't heard from six sites at this point, four of which had 12/15 deadlines... I'm just going to mostly assume that means no at this point. I have one site with a 12/20 deadline so I figure I'll wait until then for travel plans because maybe I'll get a few straggler notifications by then lol

SARHC sent out email invitations last Wednesday the 5th (their notification date is January 15th I think).
University of Memphis called applicants last Wednesday as well if I remember correctly 🙂

As our focus shifts from notifications to the interview itself, I'm wondering how much time people plan to spend preparing for each interview. I know that last year, I did not spend enough time getting to know the sites and formulating good questions for them. This is something I plan to remedy this year.
 
Still waiting on 2 sites. Middleton VA in Madison and Canadaguia VA in NY. Middleton's notification day was the 15 did anyone hear from them? I checked Canadaguia's brochure and their date is in Dec 20th so more waiting on them ugh.

Didn't apply there but the Canadaguia VA application isn't even due until the 20th. Their notification date is January 3rd.

I sent out a total of 26 applications. That's way more than the AAPIC folks recommend but I *need* to match this year. I have 7 interviews with one interview at my top site so I am pleased about that. With that number of interviews I should match somewhere ... I hope! I am not terribly picky about where I go as long as I get the internship done and graduate. Some people may regard internship as a chance to get that dream training experience. To me its just another hoop to jump through.

With 7 interviews, your odds are pretty good. I don't understand the logic in limiting the number of applications based on a magic number like 15. If there are 26 places that you are a good fit at/ seem to be a safety site/ in your geographic area, why not? I put out 20, have heard from 16, and have 9 interviews so far. I feel pretty good and am glad I went above 15 because I had some "reach" sites I wasn't even counting when thinking about places I still had to hear from... and I got interviews at 3 out of 4 of them! 🙂
