I agree --- there is always the exception. I received an invite to one of my sites a week after initial invites were sent out, so I am one of them. However, on average, Id say that most sites don't seem to be doing the rolling invite thing. So while we may not be completely out of the running after not getting an invite in the initial round, the odds are against us for that site. I've got 2 more that I am REALLY hoping I'll be that exception. Not holding my breath though.

This is why I wish sites would just send out notice a little sooner. It doesn't seem right to send out invites a month in advance of the rejection notices... I only have two interviews and it's just frankly demoralizing...

To those who are interviewing at Indiana University school of Medicine.. any idea what time the interview day will conclude? I know the social hour is from 5-6, but did anyone receive information on the earliest time we could leave to make flights?

In my confirmation email today they said we could leave as early as 5pm (during the social hour) for travel purposes.

Late last night when I was reading the updates on this thread, I suddenly had a craving for the chocolate chip cookie dough that I had bought from Trader Joe's a few days ago... then I remembered that the cookie dough is in my freezer at home! I'm actually on a little vacation right now--which I highly recommend during this incredibly stressful time, BTW--but I could really use that cookie dough! I guess I'll just have to make a special trip to the store today!

Yesterday was a record for me, with 3 rejections in one day (CSU Irvine, CSU Long Beach, USC). I'm going to head to the beach and forget about all of this for a while... that is, until I start checking my email again and refreshing this thread obsessively!

I wonder the same thing. North Florida/South Georgia VA was very transparent. They indicated in the email the amount of applications they received as well as the amount of interviews they were offering.
