Started freakin out this week once I finally joined SDN because of everyone receiving II's. And I'm frustrated because I submitted really early. Most of my secondary apps have been in for almost 6 weeks...Le sigh.
 
At least your applications are complete. My school isn't sending my Committee Letter.

You're in TX though right? If you applied to just about every TXMDAS school, you'll be fine if your stats are decent. Tx takes pretty good care of its kiddies.

I only half qualify. So I went with cat penguin.

The only response I keep getting is, "It will be complete soon. Be patient." Funny thing is, I was one of the first ones to receive a Committee Letter interview back in March. You can imagine my frustration at this point. I was thinking of going without committee letter, but then there is that element of "maybe they will submit it tomorrow" type of thing. At this point, I better damn wait for that letter.

But whatever, there isn't much I can do and will just have to strap down and just wait it out.

I'm in depression, the 4th stage of grief. : ' )

Besides, it's too early to panic anyway since alot of the schools will be sending II by Mid-september to early November according to a similar thread last year.

Better to just sit pretty and eat some cake.

Errr, hi guys. Pre-med transferring at a new school this fall. Taking bio and orgo. Can I panic with you too?
 
Hahahaah this thread is great. Glad I discoverd this....i definitely belong here...LizzyM 70....one rejection from prob the worst school i applied to and one hold.....no IIs...aaahhhh

Anyone have ideas for good distractions while waiting?
 
I've never refreshed emails so often. I do have two II currently, but waiting to hear from hopefully at least one school where I have family ties and my home state... I panic every time I see a new post on the official interview thread and see one of the schools I applied to is sending out interviews. Praying that the rest of the schools aren't doing a silent rejection...haha.
 
complete july and early august...1 rejection and 1 hold..sigh
 
Are higher stat applicants interviewed first?
I submitted all of my secondaries early July, haven't heard squat from any institutions.

Lmao I've definitely thought this already! I feel if I could just get ONE interview, I'll wow somebody haha... The waiting game always sucks...

I've wondered this too because I don't want to assume, but that is what it appears to be (assuming people are posting accurate stats with their IIs...)
 
I keep telling myself that only people who were complete early to mid July have a bunch of IIs. Hoping September is when we all see some love.
 
Sitting here with a 3.82 gpa and a 26 mcat with like 240h volunteering. Restudying for the MCAT highly doubting Ill do any better. Close to actually being depressed. Classes just started today and I can't really pay attention because I'm worried about the stupid MCAT. I just want to get into MSU's med school..or anywhere in MI.

Aww, come on... I'm panicking about flubbing the interview! Seriously. I will freeze up and only be able to access vocabulary words present in a two year old's brain. You don't even know...
