they have received my transcripts June 10th and my GPAs haven't been verified yet.. should I be worried? call AADSAS?

My transcripts were received 6/11 and I submitted 6/11. Just got GPA verified this morning, 6/18.

Did you submit on or before 6/10? If so, then something smells fishy. You may want to call to make sure your app is "complete" and your in line for GPA verification.

I just got off the phone with AADSAS and she told me my application is complete and is in line to get verified, she also said (THIS IS REGARDING ALL THE APPLICANTS WHO SUBMITTED THEIR APPLICATION JUNE 12th) that GPA verification is happened for all the applicants of June 12th and it should take up to 1 week (could be today, or next week)

Yes, that is new within the last hour. Also, there is a "mailing date" now under your school designations. Feels good.

Do you receive an email when the GPA has been verified? I submitted last Friday the 13th and was hoping to have my GPA verified today so I can get in the first batch.

Hey guys! On Thursdays, they "prepare" the batches to be sent out on Fridays. If you don't meet that cutoff on Thursday, you won't be included until the next batch. I'm not sure if there is a specific time of the day that they do this, but it looks like they may have already done it for tomorrow's send out.

I suppose in the grand scheme it doesn't matter that much, but I really wanted to be part of the first batch. I'm really hoping it will be sent out tomorrow instead of next week

Verified as well. They even counted two of my anthropology courses as biology credit! So both my bcp and sci is a bit higher. Don't be afraid to add a course as a science class if you feel it should be!

Probs isn't going to be sent out first batch. mine has the mail out date as 6/20/14 under dental school designation and it says "mailed on 6/20/14" as well under the mobile portal.

My health committee adviser uploaded the letter on Wednesday, and if the apps were prepared Wednesday does that mean my letters won't be included in the mailing tomorrow?

What the hell's the point sending out every friday, its not like they are going to do it through snail mail, why not just make everything available to your schools as soon as everythings done?

I'm not 100% sure how things work, but I think this might actually be the case. 🙂

Both. It is what it is. Schools haven't reported that they weight one particular more than the other.

Yeah I figured that..I'm asking because all my GPAs w/o +- are higher than the ones with signs..It makes sense cause the grades I got with signs are all A-...

How they evaluate gpa is completely arbitrary anyways. A 3.6/3.5 is obviously better than 3.5/3.5 but worse than a 3.6/3.6. But rarely do you have cases like that and gpa is all over the place esp when you factor in sgpa, bcp gpa, and ogpa. You have a lot of A- so adcom obviously knows you are competent. We try to quantify all these stats but it looks all the same to people who look at apps all day long anyways.

Is case telling you to submit your secondaries already?

From what I've seen in the previous posts, schools can access your application as soon as you designate them. I've got emails from a couple schools notifying me about missing supplemental fee before my GPA was even verified.

Case doesn't require a secondary application--only an an application fee.

yeah that's what i meant. semantics.

edit: case actually wrote this yesterday "We just got notice our first completed applications are being mailed to us! Be patient for our acknowledgement emails!"

I think this implies that some schools do still use batches.

Maryland received my application and is reviewing it. My application hasn't been "sent" out.

Got UPENN email today.. But they haven't received my DAT scores... I wrote the Canadian DAT on February 22 2014, and requested them to be sent out to schools in the states.. Do I have to call CDA to confirm ??

Of course, I know. I remember reading only some schools start giving out interviews in august while most start actually reviewing applications then and even later. Still got a long way to go. I applied to 13 schools and only maryland has sent me an email, two in fact 🙁.

If you haven't e-submitted yet--even if you were to submit today--you might not make the second batch. It takes a little while for your GPA to be calculated.
