One way to have finished my apps faster than this would be to hand-in the transcript request form to my school's Office of Registrar in person, as this takes about a week for the form to be mailed to my school and for them to process and mail it out to ADEA.

For the LOR Form, I DID e-mail (filled it and and scanned it) the request form to my school, and they accepted it. However, I am not sure of the Transcript Request Form.

I mean, I ordered my transcript online and faxed the Transcript request form from AADSAS to my school and everything was fine.

I called AADSAS two days ago and the guy said my app would be sent out tomorrow, nothing changed yesterday so I called and a lady told me I didn't make it even though I submitted 6/5 and was verified 6/18. I called back to ask more questions and got someone else who looked up my name on the mailing list for yesterday and saw my name on it and said my AADSAS would update to mailed out 6/20 at the end of the day yesterday or Saturday.... So far... Just says pending on the mobile portal. Why am spending all this money to AADSAS again?!??

Did you follow the link through the AADSAS supplemental info page? Every time I click "Pay Application Fee" I get an SSL connection error...whatever that is. I tried using both Chrome and Safari. 🙁

As a general rule, the info you are going to get from AADSAS will be very inconsistent, y'all. It stinks... but just be prepared!

@fischook They "prepared" the batch early on Wednesday, the 18th. So if your stuff was verified later in the day, you didn't make the cut. I'm sorry dude didn't know what he was talking about.

@nagune In the future, you *should* be able to just e-mail/fax the transcript matching form to your school. They'll just print it out and attach it. No big deal. 🙂

@cl9090 Try to get supplements in within a week. A little bit longer is fine, of course, but you don't want to go *too* much longer or it might not seem like you're interested in the school. I know one of the schools I applied to gave you a limit of 10 days, but I'm not sure how widespread these kinds of deadlines are.

Glimmer, is it every supplemental application within the week or from the moment we receive an email saying they require the supplemental applications? I haven't received emails from some schools, but I know we can access the supplemental applications on their website. I've gotten emails from two schools, and am currently working on those.

Well, it's all school dependent. If they have it on their website and just expect you to do it and send it to them, then yeah, I'd do it within a week of your application being sent. If they say to wait until later--or if they're like other schools and don't send you one until they actually invite you for an interview--then you obviously just wait. 🙂

Fortunately, after you've finished one or two, you find that there is overlap between them. Sometimes, all it takes is a little tweak or two to make an essay you previously wrote fit a different supplement. 😀

Quick question: I have all my LOEs uploaded, my transcripts have arrived, but my NEW DAT scores have not uploaded since I'm having them audited. I was told to wait another week or so.
If I submit this week, will that hurt me since my application still has my old DAT scores (19AA/20TS). My new DAT (21AA/25TS). Or would it be fine since it takes awhile for them to very my GPA anyway? (It takes a bit longer for Canadians, I did my research with that already.)

Do you know if they have actually started auditing them? How long is that supposed to take?

In general, I would tell people in your situation to wait. If it takes a really long time for your GPA to be verified, though, and it takes a similar amount of time for your audit to be conducted... then maybe it makes sense to go ahead and submit. I'm not sure about the timeline for either of those things, so I can't really give an informed opinion. 🙂

They only mail out on Fridays. You missed the cutoff last week, which was early Wednesday.

My question on secondaries applications:
University of Michigan is clear on their webpage that once your application is verified by ADEA AADSAS (4-6weeks), University of Michigan will decide whether to send or not send you a secondary app.
Midwestern (IL) - send secondary when school contacts you.
NOVA (FL) - send secondary when school contacts you.

But Marquette says send 45 dollars as soon as doing e-verification. There is no indication of waiting. Is this correct? Anyone know from previous experience?

Detroit-Mercy says "Send these materials directly to the dental schools at the same time you send ADEA AADSAS materials"


Minnesota - send after e-verification. Correct? Any one have any answer if a Committee letter will be given in lieu? Otherwise ability to send 3 letters from my home school to Minnesota directly?

Any of these accept FAP? Or how do you do FAP on secondaries?

I'm waiting to pay Michigan's fee until after I receive an email confirmation of them receiving my app:

From their website:

1. Once your AADSAS application is received by the School, you will receive an email from the Admissions Office, typically within 2-3 weeks (depending upon application volume), informing you of your application status.
2. Once your application has been received, we require a $75 application fee, payable onlineonly. Please do not mail a check to our office. You should pay the fee after you've submitted your AADSAS application, not before.

And I also sent Marquette a check a while ago and it has not been cashed yet, nor have I received an updated email on my status. (My application was mailed on the 20th.)

when an advisor decides to upload it directly to AADSAS, does it get on the application automatically or is there a processing time for that as well?

@oceanangel4 - if you click dental school designations from the right tab, you will see columns. There should a mailing date column where it lists the date your application will be sent to the schools.
@Faux - I believe the letters will be attached to your application. If you click evaluation from the right tab, there should be columns that designate when your letters are going to be sent to your schools. As for the processing time, it seems that if you dont make the current batch, you will have to wait for the following batch.

It's either...
A) within a week of your application actually being sent to the school (mailed out) if the supplement is just readily available on their website
B) within a week of them sending you an invitation to fill out a supplement

A week obviously isn't a hard deadline. It's just a suggestion. 🙂

I sent Marquette a check around the 7th and my app's mailing date isn't technically until tomorrow. However, they e-mailed me today saying all materials and fee have been received! So they should be getting back to you soon!
