As June 2 approaches, more SDNers are in a tizz to hit the submit the application after the strike of midnight, but have as yet to take the DAT. The logic is unclear since, there are only 7 schools that will consider an application without DAT scores.
Canadian DAT- About 1/3 of the dental schools will not accept the Canadian DAT.
Retakes- With 31 schools considering the most recent DAT score, retaking of the test becomes a risky proposition. Twenty eight school will take the highest score; 5 will take an average.
Latest DAT date- Louisville appears willing to wait until matriculation (6-1-15), whereas, others want them pronto (Iowa 8-1-14; Michigan 8-31-14, and Georgia, Pittsburgh and Tennessee 9-30-14).
Age of DAT- Maximum age range between 2-5 years old.
