2015-2016 Applicant. How is everyone else's interviews going?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Interviews are so fun! I'm excited to (hopefully) be done with them but making small talk with the dental students and chatting with interviewers has been such an enjoyable experience!!

The interviews may be fun, but getting to them most definitely isn't

Really? I think getting a chance/excuse to travel has been half of the fun. I've gotten to have weekends exploring NYC, Boston, LA, and San Fransisco, cities I had never been to before and wouldn't have had a reason to visit otherwise. A lot of fun IMO.

I guess our experiences are different lol. Hundreds of dollars to fly out after work, next day do an interview, and fly back so that I don't miss the next day of school and work has been hell. Both physically and financially.

I agree with ReptileDisfuntion! Meeting so many like-minded individuals and having the chance to travel has truly been the highlight of my year. I haven't flown this much since I was very young, and I've definitely caught the travel bug. If I'm lucky enough to get into a dental school, I'm going to likely save up money to be able to travel somewhere exotic without having the stress of interviewing the very next day.

As for the interviews, they have been a blast! All the candidates and interviewers were all very nice, and I've enjoyed touring the dental schools and seeing why each one is special in their own way. Then again I could be totally wrong about all of this, and get no acceptances on Dec. 1 🙁 Fingers crossed though!
